The meme token craze keeps rolling on 🫣
#100F_NEWS
So check this out, there was this dude who made a token called HANDS and streamed himself holding up a sign with "No hands - no rug pull" using just his chin. While he was doing that, the token's price was shooting up. Then, at the peak, he just whipped his hands out from behind his back and cashed out all his tokens
Now I'm kinda scared to see what they'll come up with next 🫠

Who are the Sibyls? 🤔
#100F_EDU
First up, we've got this thing called a "Sybil Attack." It's basically a security threat in online systems where someone makes a bunch of accounts and tries to take over the network
💬 The term "Sybil" itself is borrowed from a woman named Sybil Dorsett, a character from a book who had a rough childhood and ended up with a personality disorder, showing herself as multiple separate personalities
So, "Sybil" literally means someone who creates multiple accounts 👀
In the crypto world, they use this term for folks known as multi-accounters — people who create tons, hundreds, or even thousands of accounts hoping to score airdrops from projectsFighting the Sibyls 🥸 Crypto projects themselves are trying to fight back against these Sibyls and use various methods to figure them out. And it's not just about tracking wallet connections through IP addresses There are other criteria too ➡️ For example, just recently, LayerZero announced they're looking at this kind of activity based on stuff like: 🟠You're one person with dozens, hundreds, or thousands of addresses involved in mass farming (linked by transactions or IP) 🟠Creating useless NFTs just to move them across networks 🟠Using popular apps like Merkly, L2Pass, L2Marathon to cut down on transaction costs 🟠Transferring $0.01 back and forth to touch new networks So, the rules are getting stricter, and now even people who farm or transfer tiny amounts and use certain apps might be labeled as Sibyls 🫠 Despite these challenges, multi-accounters still manage to snag drops by gaming the system We'll see how long this scheme lasts and what projects will do about it in future giveaways 🗓 ✈️ Telegram

What's been shooting up the most since the beginning of 2024? 🤔
#100F_FACT
The biggest gainers are these tokens: AERO, WIF, AITECH, OM, APEX, PEPE, AGI, FLOKI, AIOZ, and VELO
Leading the pack is Aerodrome Finance's liquidity protocol token, AERO
Once again, we're seeing meme coins dominating, with three of them on the list: WIF, PEPE, FLOKI. It's becoming clear yet again: when it comes to the big players, they don't even need to bother with tech – it's all about the hype 🫠

✔️ How to beef up networks using bridges?
#100F_EDU
Retro hunters and active crypto users always need platforms that allow transferring funds from one blockchain to another. They're called bridges
Here are some of them:
🔘Orbiter Finance - has around 30 networks for topping up, which is quite decent. Using it, you can also earn O-Points for a drop from the project itself
🔘Bungee - a platform that allows transferring the native token of one network to the native token of another
🔘Stargate - an omni-chain bridge built on top of the LayerZero protocol. Stargate users can also move assets between liquidity pools on different protocols
🔘Jumper - another bridge interacting with 19 networks
🔘Relay - has the ability to top up only 13 networks, but stands out for its low costs
🔘Owlto - a bridge that also allows accumulating points for bridges for future drops from the project
Save it for quick reference 👍

🤔 Sell in may and go away?
#100F_EDU
🟢The phrase 'Sell in May and go away' originated from a traditional English saying, which was a bit longer: 'Sell in May and go away, and come on back on St. Leger's Day.'
Back in the day, traders and bankers used to wrap up their big deals by May and then head out to the countryside near London for the summer. St. Leger's Day refers to a horse racing event held in September, which was attended by the British elite 💃
🟢This saying has stuck around and is still relevant
In the cryptocurrency market, statistics show that Bitcoin's growth tends to be weaker in the summer months and stronger in the fall and winter 💰
However, when deciding whether to sell or exit the market, it's important to assess each situation individually ❗️
🟠Recently, we've seen a significant market downturn, with many assets experiencing corrections of -30% or more
🟠If a medium-term investor has been actively following market sentiments, they probably sold earlier in March and April
🟠They might consider buying back in when prices become attractive again for certain assets, regardless of the month, depending on whether their assets have reached the desired prices
🟠Nevertheless, it's true that activity in many areas, including markets, tends to be lower during the summer months, as many people prefer to take vacations during this time 🤷♂️

CZ's court case and market dip 👀
#100F_NEWS
🔘Yesterday, Binance's founder got sentenced to four months in prison
🔘This makes CZ the richest prisoner in U.S. history
🔘On top of that, he's gotta cough up a $50 million fine
🔘On his Twitter, he thanked everyone for the care and support, saying he'll stick to being a passive crypto investor and focus on education after his sentence
🔘Meanwhile, things aren't looking so rosy in the market: BTC dipped below $60k, and altcoins are taking a bigger hit
🔘Over the past day, over $367 million got liquidated
Keep an eye on that correction 🩸

💲 Is ETH a security or not?
Recently, ConsenSys filed a lawsuit against the SEC to finally determine the status of cryptocurrencies.
Additionally, they presented 4 arguments why they don't consider ETH a security:
1⃣ SEC's Historical Position on Ethereum
In 2018, Hinman, the director of the SEC's Division of Corporate Finance, gave a speech stating that Ethereum is not considered a security
2⃣ CFTC's Classification as a Commodity
The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) previously recognized Ethereum as a commodity
3⃣ Decentralization and Open Protocol
A ConsenSys representative stated that Ethereum is unquestionably decentralized
4⃣ Insignificance of Consensus Mechanism Shift
The shift of Ethereum from Proof of Work (PoW) to Proof of Stake (PoS) is not considered significant by the SEC
In conclusion:
🟠It's evident that the SEC will continue to pressure cryptocurrency companies. ConsenSys, however, has taken a bold step by filing a lawsuit against the Commission
🟠It's likely that more time will be needed to reach a conclusion on these matters
