Activating Student Account Step 1: First you have to make sure you have obtained and activated your institutional email. This email is different from "personal/normal" email and is given to you from your University (Addis Ababa University). 1.. To do so, open https://www.gmail.com on your desktop or Mobile phone 2. Enter your institutional email. 3. If you are a fresh student, institutional email has the following format: firstname.UGR-xxxx-16@aau.edu.et and (now they are second year students) it will look like something like this abebe.UGR-1234-16@aau.edu.et 4. if the student is year 3 and above institutional email has the following format: firstname.lastname-ug@aau.edu.et and it will look like something like this abebe.bekele-ug@aau.edu.et 4. On the password page, insert your ID as it is (i.e UGR/1234/16) 5. Gmail will then prompt you to change your password, set the password to word that you can easily remember, confirm and change your password. The next step is how to login to the e-learning portal 1. Once you've activated your institutional email, please follow the steps below to get started with the e-learning portal 2. Go to https://courses.aau.edu.et/ 3. Click “New User” 4. Click “Register” 5. Enter your Institutional Email and click “Sign in” 6. Then on the next page, enter your institutional email again 7. Enter your new password Finally on the front page of the e-SHE portal, feel free to browse all the courses, and enroll to start your e-learning journey online.
