antrum and air cells with
destruction of their bony
partitions

¹-destruction of bony partitions
²-extentsion under the periosteum:
postaurical,sagging p.s mental
wall,Behold absces.
🔴SYMPTOMS:
¹-General➡️fever,headache
and malaise.
²-Local➡️Deafnss,pain,swelling
🔴SIGNS:
- Reservoir sign .
🔴INVESTIGATION:
¹-PTA.
²-culture and sensitivity of
discharge.
³-x-ray mastoid.
🔴TREATMENT:
¹-Medical➡️-hospitalization
-systemic antibiotics .
-analgesic antipyretic.
-frequent suction of
discharge.
-local antibiotic
²-surgical➡️-cortical mastoidectomy
-Radical mastoidecto
🔴D.D:
¹-furuncle
²-lymphadenitis
³-sebaceous cyst
