1. Activity-based learning:- learning by doing activities
2. Grammar Translation Method:- learning by translating from L1 to L2. More emphasis is put on grammar than communication
3. Direct Method:- learning by using only target language (L2)
4. Functional Approach:(Situational Approach) - learning by focusing on every day language functions like 'making suggestions', 'making requests', and 'giving advice'.
5. Audiolingual Method:- learning through listening to dialogues
6. Total Physical Response:- learning by physically doing teacher's instructions: Stand up, touch your knees, walk to a window and etc.
7. Communicative Approach:- learning by speaking the target language and communicating in real life situations
8. Lexical Approach:- learning by focusing more on lexical items such as words, phrasal verbs, idioms, collocations, and fixed expressions. More emphasis is put on vocabulary than grammar

13. Structural Approach:- method where topics are explained according to the level of difficulty. Simpler topics are explained before moving to more complex ones
