Government of India imposed immediate restrictions on the import of several Bangladeshi goods through land ports. Imports of ready-made garments from Bangladesh are now only allowed through the Nhava Sheva and Kolkata seaports, with all land port entries banned for these items. Other restricted items include plastics, wooden furniture, carbonated and fruit-flavored drinks, processed food, cotton and cotton yarn waste, and dyes. Exemptions: Fish, LPG, edible oil, and crushed stone are not affected by these restrictions.
