Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs) are a subset of Scheduled Tribes in India identified due to their unique socio-economic challenges. These groups are characterized by their pre-agricultural level of technology, low literacy rates, economic backwardness, and declining or stagnant populations. The Government of India has recognized 75 PVTGs across the country, including three in Madhya Pradesh.

The three PVTGs recognized in Madhya Pradesh are:
1. Baiga
2. Bharia
3. Sahariya
These groups face significant socio-economic challenges, necessitating targeted development initiatives.
