Uber has agreed to a $148 million settlement to resolve allegations surrounding the concealment of a data breach that occurred in 2016. During this incident, hackers accessed the personal information of approximately 25 million customers and drivers in the United States. Rather than fulfilling their legal obligation to report the data theft, Uber opted to pay the hackers $100,000. This occurred towards the end of 2016, but it wasn't until November 2017 that Uber's CEO, Dara Khosrowshahi, disclosed that hackers had obtained the names, email addresses, and phone numbers of 57 million Uber users worldwide. Among this total were 600,000 drivers, whose names and driver's license details were also compromised. https://www.npr.org/2018/09/27/652119109/uber-pays-148-million-over-year-long-cover-up-of-data-breach

I wanted to wait a bit and formulate a tailored response to this. Everyone has had their take thus far and are not wrong in the many fears there are about something this invasive feature called Windows Recall. This is a sneak peek at what a dystopian future will look like. Reminiscent of 1984 and the TV screens that watch your every move. This is what the closing in of the control grid the elites want looks like. Now that the obvious is out of the way let's focus on the technical. 1. A utility like this will cause needs for a large amount of disk space. 2. If you are hacked and it's Windows so when not if. They can grab everything about you. Identity theft made easy for dumb criminals. 3. This will need system resources constantly which will contribute to the early death of your hardware. 4. This will probably also burden bandwidth when it calls home. (We are in agreement they aren't going to keep their word to stay local.) I can not think of any good reason for making a utility like this other than to spy or control. If this doesn't convince you to get away from Windows I am not sure what will. https://x.com/tsarnick/status/1792680674060832829?s=46

As predicted, Microsoft is ending support for Windows 10, forcing everyone to “upgrade” to Windows 11, where they can impose mandatory AI, and “whole computer surveillance” on society. (In connection with what, or who? You probably will have some ideas about their ‘agendas’ …) You’ve heard me say it many times before. Yet, it’s not said as a “gimmick.” It’s actually the right thing to do … If you haven’t done so already, consider switching your computers to Linux, frens. Truly. 👍

Elon is talking about a "Private" X Phone and predictably people are frantic hoping he can come save them from the evil BigTech companies spying on them... meanwhile at X... https://reclaimthenet.org/x-id-verification I'm not throwing the baby out with the bathwater, but the writing is on the wall w/ Elon for anyone paying attention. He's very much pro Digital ID. Any new Phone that comes to market with proprietary software running on all new hardware (aka more slave child labor), similar to the UP/UnPlugged Phone, I'm very skeptical of.

Info like this is why we try not to endorse companies that sell gadgets that purport to reduce EMF. If we had the resources, we would buy a bunch and test them with the various RF devices we have at our disposal... but we lack both the time and resources these days. The rule of thumb, "if it sounds too good to be true, it likely isn't true" hold weight re: these types of devices. Especially ones selling for $100+ per device. Just some food for thought.

⚡️PSA: Fake 'EMF Sticker' Promoted By Russell Brand Makes False Claims, False Patents, and No Measurable Impact on EMR Fields @takebackourtech Anyone EMR conscious has seen those 'EMF stickers' that supposedly 'harmonize' radiation off of the phone. Is this true or is it placebo? AiresTech promoted on Russell Brand's show recently and got on our radar. Their sticker is called 'LifeTune' and sells for $100, with packages of $1,000+ on their store. Last year, YouTuber Gary Fong completely debunked some obivous falsehoods AiresTech was putting out. The neuroscientist Dr. Nicholas Dogris claimed that AiresTech reduced heat, and measured this using an electroencephalogram (EEG), which does nothing to measure heat. Gary did his own tests and found that the LifeTune sticker had no impact at all on the electromagnetic field of a phone at all. Looking through the patents he found no patents related to the nanotechnology AiresTech claims they had, and instead found design patents - for the cute geometric design on the stickers themselves. More awareness around issues like cell phone radiation also bring scammers out of the woodwork. And somehow they always end up on the biggest shows. I'm seeing a trend. Practice skepticism when it comes to energy technology, there is good stuff (potentially even stickers) - but there's also a ton of bullshit that invest in fake studies, fake patents, and marketing to get themselves out there.
