| 2 | # How to use a Gleason's Map
An interactive sim that allows you select locations on your own, enter lat/lon coordinates manually or select from common locations. Using the ruler arms between the two location, you can calculate your longitude difference as sun-time, which you can convert to distance between any two locations on the map projection.
Includes a 7 step lesson plan of worked examples on the left side and the right side shows all the math and conversions.
If someone is drawing straight lines on a Gleason's map and calling it a "flat earth map", you can direct them to this simulator to point out their misuse of the tool.
