‼️tens of thousands of people recently descended on the capital city of Yerevan, led by Archbishop of Tavush Bagrat Galstanyan, to demand the resignation of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. 🇦🇲 This comes as discontent towards the armenian government, led by prime minister Nikol Pashinyan, has been growing ever since the end of the 2nd Nagorno Karabakh war 💥 which concluded in an armenian defeat at the hands of azerbaijan and cost the lives of almost 7000 people Ever since the conclusion of the war the azeri government 🇦🇿 has grown bolder and more agressive towards armenia, violating the russian brokered ceasefire 🇷🇺 on an almost daily basis, opening fire on armenian civilians and military personnel 🔫, abductions of armenian soldiers and civilians alike, and finally blockading what was left of the republic of artsakh 🇦🇲 for over 9 months from december 2022 to september 2023 before unleashing an offensive into artsakh, culminating in the exodus of all 120 000 armenians living there and the dismantlement of the 30 year old democratic and unrecognized republic ♋️ 🇦🇿All the while azerbaijan has been directly occupying internationally recognized armenian territory and terrorizing the local population ❗️, with the government seemingly too weak to do anything but bend over to Alyiev’s🪳increasingly ridiculous demands (by the way is the same man that claims yerevan is rightfully azeri land), all the while armenia’s so-called ally russia 🐵watches and even enables his regime to bully armenia into submission, with turkey and israel’s full backing as well 🦃 ✡️ leaving armenia isolated and desperate for allies which is something the country’s been working on, attempting to forge stronger ties with the west, especially france 🇫🇷 🇫🇷
