There are two completely opposite geopolitical narratives in play right now:
1️⃣ Iran’s Supreme Leader confirmed dead
This could mean a temporary halt in strikes and war escalation.
👉 That typically means weaker Gold (XAUUSD)
👉 And relatively stronger USD
2️⃣ Recent short-term strikes on the UAE
Although not active right now, they created confusion and uncertainty in the market.
👉 Uncertainty = Safe haven demand
👉 Which means stronger Gold
👉 And potentially weaker USD
So we have two conflicting forces at the same time.

1️⃣Gold is currently trading around 4,509.6 after a sharp bullish breakout that broke out of its previous range and swept buy-side liquidity above 4,495–4,500. This impulsive move created a clear structural shift, and the price is now consolidating just below the 4,516–4,520 premium zone.
2️⃣This zone represents a short-term supply and liquidity pocket where the rally briefly stalled. This behaviour suggests the market is pausing to rebalance after taking in liquidity rather than continuing in a straight line.
3️⃣The upside push left a visible imbalance between 4,500–4,490, which is now partially being mitigated during this pullback. If the price fails to hold above 4,505, this inefficiency is likely to be filled, making it the first downside draw during any deeper retracement. However, there is still resting buy-side liquidity above 4,516–4,525. A reclaim of 4,510–4,512 could allow the price to push back into that premium zone for another liquidity sweep. | 106 |
