Crypto Personalities: Gerald Cotten 🟢The story of Gerald Cotten resembles a thriller worthy of a film adaptation (and it is—Netflix made a documentary about the Canadian “cryptocurrency king”). 🟢According to the official version, Cotten died at the age of 30 from complications of Crohn’s disease, with users of his cryptocurrency exchange QuadrigaCX losing access to their assets totaling $190 million because Cotten was the only person who knew the passwords to the cold vaults. 🟢Many rumors and conspiracy theories have popped up in the community, from suggestions that Cotten actually faked his death to take users’ cryptocurrency to versions that he was murdered by his own wife. None of these hypotheses, however, has received reliable evidence. 🟢Speaking of which, the Ontario Securities Commission revealed that QuadrigaCX was, in fact, a Ponzi scheme.

Top 3 Memecoin tips 🟢We beg you not to invest in memecoins. But if you do, here’s a universal guide to memecoin trading. Rule #1: It’s never too late to change your mind. Please don’t😂 It’s unlikely to end well. Rule #2: Invest no more than 1%–2% of your total budget in memcoins. Large investments in hyped coins will most likely evaporate. So, if you plan on sinking some money into one, make sure it’s an amount your comfortable potentially losing. Rule #3: if your coin’s value increase by at least 2 times, immediately secure your profits.🚀 🟢Let’s say you invested $100 in a memecoin. You got incredibly lucky and now have $200 or even $300. 🟢Immediately withdraw your initial investment ($100) and keep the remaining coins on the market; otherwise, euphoria and greed will take over. ➡️Discipline and sanity Stick to these rules. They all (especially rule #1) can save a lot of money.💪

Crypto Speak: Sound money “Sound money” is the concept of money that has stability and is able to retain its purchasing power over time. The main characteristics of such money are: 🟢Limited supply: To prevent inflation and preserve the value of money, its quantity must be limited or grow predictably. 🟢 Resistant to inflation: Your money should not lose value, allowing you to plan your financial future with confidence. 🟢 Independence: Ideal sound money is minimally dependent on government control, preventing artificial interference with its value. As you can imagine, crypto can make this concept real. For example, theoretically, Bitcoin fully satisfies these three points. (Volatility is still an issue, but Bitcoin has more than 100 years of development to go before the last coin is mined.) And, who knows, perhaps in the future, there will be another crypto that could one day be called true sound money.

A service offering to bypass KYC checks on popular cryptocurrency exchanges has appeared online. 🔔Recently, the OnlyFake service has appeared on the internet, which, for only $15, offers to purchase ID documents generated by AI algorithms for Know Your Customer (KYC) verification. 👺The service creates realistic fake documents (driver’s licenses and passports) for 26 countries, including the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Australia, and several EU member states, and also accepts cryptocurrencies. 👺The project’s team claims that it is not breaking the law with its actions, as the resource is designed to create props for shows and movies. 👺AI has been creating many new challenges for both the world of crypto and the general public. 👺How exchanges and other services that process documents will combat this issue is still unclear.

🟢Robert Kiyosaki, the mastermind behind "Rich Dad," recently dropped a bombshell in an interview, revealing he's sitting on a stash of 66 Bitcoins. 🟢His confidence is sky-high, convinced that his Bitcoin treasure will swell into an even bigger fortune. Imagine that! And all it takes, according to him, is for pension funds to hop on the Bitcoin bandwagon via ETFs. 🟢Kiyosaki's been on a mission, practically shouting from the rooftops for folks to ditch the dollar in favor of Bitcoin. He's all in on the idea that when the financial world hits a snag, the only safe havens are precious metals and Bitcoin. And it's not just talk; he's been warning about an epic market crash looming on the horizon since 2021. So, how about you? How deep are you into the Bitcoin game? 😅

Did you know that Bitcoin’s supply cap of 21 million coins could be lifted? 🟢This opinion was expressed by Trezor analyst Josef Tětek, who said that Bitcoin developers could theoretically remove the 21-million coin limit, but miners are unlikely to accept the change because miners have the final say in such matters (that’s the point of the proof-of-work consensus). 🟢Moreover, besides miners, of course, the entire crypto community would be outraged, and a massive scandal would ensue. 🟢Therefore, it is ridiculous to consider such a possibility at the moment, but you should know that there is a theoretical (purely theoretical) possibility to “print” more Bitcoin. A new attack vector for scammers: Crypto wallet-hacking software Kaspersky Lab has reported on a new malware for stealing crypto on macOS. With the malware, hackers gain access to the user’s computer password. The pirated app comes with an instruction that asks the user to copy the app to the “Applications” folder and run the “Activator.” It is in the latter that the user is required to enter the password, which eventually ends up in the hands of the attackers. Once in the system, the malware also compromises crypto wallets. Follow these steps to avoid falling victim: ▪️ Visit only trusted websites. ▪️Update your computer’s operating system regularly. ▪️ Use an antivirus. That’s it; you are now protected =) Join All Our Channels

Almost exactly 8 years ago, The Washington Post buried Bitcoin. On Jan. 19, 2016, The Washington Post published an article titled “R.I.P., Bitcoin. It’s time to move on” by Vivek Wadhwa, in which the first cryptocurrency was prophesied to have died. The main theses of the article are: 🟢 The article outlines Bitcoin’s serious flaws, including its instability, use for illicit transactions, speculative nature, and security vulnerabilities. 🟢 Bitcoin is comparable to a pyramid scheme. 🟢 Problems with transaction processing on the Bitcoin network and internal conflicts within the Bitcoin community are pointed out. 🟢 The article concludes by discussing how we can learn from Bitcoin’s mistakes to create more sustainable and responsible governance systems in the future. ➡️In those days, Bitcoin was worth about $400 apiece, which is about 100x less than it is today and about 175x less relative to its peak in 2021. What does he think about Bitcoin today?... 🤷‍♂️ Join All Our Channels
