💡 Savol: What are the advantages and disadvantages of social media?
🕯 B1 (Beginner-Intermediate) –
Social media is good because it helps people stay connected. We can talk to friends and family easily. Also, we can learn new things. But sometimes, people spend too much time on social media, and it can be bad for their health.
🕯 B2 (Upper-Intermediate) –
Social media has both benefits and drawbacks. On the positive side, it allows people to communicate with others, learn new skills, and even build careers. Many businesses use social media to promote their products. However, it also has disadvantages, such as addiction, misinformation, and privacy concerns. Spending too much time on social media can negatively affect mental health.
🕯 C1 (Advanced) –
Social media is a double-edged sword. On one hand, it fosters global connectivity, provides educational resources, and offers opportunities for businesses and influencers. It has revolutionized communication, making it easier than ever to share ideas and raise awareness about important issues. However, it also comes with challenges like cyberbullying, the spread of fake news, and the pressure to maintain a “perfect” online image. Finding a balance between its benefits and drawbacks is essential for using social media effectively.
📌 Javobingizni yanada boyitish uchun foydali lug‘atlar:

🟤 To raise awareness – muhim masalalarga e’tibor qaratmoq
🟤 To maintain a perfect image – ideal imidjni saqlash

Version 1:
It is widely acknowledged that the transportation of goods and people is one of the primary causes of environmental pollution. Some believe it is the government’s responsibility to tackle this issue, while others argue that individuals must also take action. In my view, both parties share equal responsibility in addressing transportation-related pollution.
There are strong reasons to believe that governments must lead efforts to reduce pollution. Initially, many governments encouraged the use of transportation systems that are now known to harm the environment. Therefore, they have a duty to promote a shift towards cleaner alternatives, such as electric vehicles, and to educate the public about the benefits of sustainable transport. Moreover, authorities can impose taxes or restrictions on owners of carbon-emitting vehicles, providing a strong incentive to adopt eco-friendly modes of travel.
However, individuals also have a critical role to play. Over the past decades, individual consumption and careless usage of polluting vehicles have significantly worsened the situation. Despite the availability of electric cars and efficient public transport systems, many people continue to choose carbon-intensive options out of convenience. If individuals were more aware of the environmental consequences of their choices, a substantial reduction in pollution could be achieved.
In conclusion, solving transportation-related pollution requires joint efforts from both the government and the public. Only through collective responsibility can meaningful progress be made in preserving the environment for future generations.
Version 2:
It has been claimed that one of the biggest damages to the environment is caused by transporting products and people, producing an excessive amount of pollution. People have different views about who is in charge of dealing with this problem: the government or individuals.
There are several reasons why the government should take the first step in this matter. Firstly, the government once introduced and encouraged the use of transportation means which pollute the environment, and now if the authorities admit that they are open to replacing the current means of transport with electricity-powered vehicles, as well as explaining why e-transportation is by far the best option to the public, citizens will not have a high tendency to continue using their polluting vehicles. Additionally, the government has the power to introduce taxes on those who refuse to get rid of their CO2-emitting cars and still prefer keeping them. By doing so, pollution rates are likely to decrease dramatically, giving our nature a chance to breathe.
However, it seems to me that individuals have an obligation to help this intense situation that they themselves have created. Over the past decades, the numbers indicating how much waste a person produces daily have been skyrocketing, which leads to the notion that the pollution matter is mostly people’s responsibility due to their careless action of excessively using CO2-emitting vehicles all the time, while there are e-cars or trains that work perfectly for transportation. In my opinion, pollution-related problems through transportation would never have happened if people had stayed cautious about how much Mother Nature would suffer from the amount of lethal emissions that are produced by their choice of wrong transport means.
In conclusion, the accountability for solving the transportation problem, which presents deadly amounts of pollution to the surroundings, lies with both the government and individuals.

TASK 2: Research shows that transportation of products and people is now one of the biggest sources of pollution worlwide. Some people think it is the responsibility of governments to solve this problem while others think it is the responsibility of individuals.
Discuss both these views and give your opinion.
