| 3 |  Whoever acquires it rightfully and gives it its due right, it will be a help for his religion. But whoever acquires it unlawfully, then the fire will be destined for him.
— Sayyidunā Mālik ibn Dīnār رحمه الله
Note: He was not claiming that the word dīnār historically derives from dīn and nār. The word dīnār ultimately comes from the Latin dēnārius. Rather, he was drawing upon the Arabic sound of the word as a spiritual admonition: dīn is religion, while nār is fire.
The wisdom in the wordplay is a reminder that wealth is not inherently a blessing or a curse. In the hands of one who earns it lawfully and spends it in the right places, it may serve the dīn; but when wealth is pursued through the unlawful and allowed to become an object of attachment, the very same wealth may become a means of nār.
For the seeker, the lesson is not merely to ask, “How much do I possess?” but, “What has my wealth done to my heart, and where is it leading me?” | 340 |

If Allāh Tabāraka wa Taʿālā has blessed you with knowledge, wisdom, or a beneficial book, share it with someone who may benefit from it. You may never know how far a single page, a single lesson, or a single reminder can reach.
What you lend today may become a source of guidance, learning, and reward tomorrow, in shāʾa Llāh. | 458 |
| 6 |  Most accusations are made against women. But remember the words of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ:
Beware of suspicion, for suspicion is the gravest lie in speech. Do not spy upon one another…
[Ṣaḥīḥ Muslim, 2563]
And look at the beautiful wisdom of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ:
A man once came to him and said that his wife had given birth to a child whose complexion was different from his own. The Prophet ﷺ did not immediately accuse the woman or confirm his suspicion.
Instead, he asked the man about the colour of his camels. When the man mentioned that some of his camels had a different colour, the Prophet ﷺ explained that the child may likewise have inherited his appearance from an ancestor.
[Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī, 5305]
This teaches us an important lesson: do not let suspicion become an accusation. Fear Allāh, and do not destroy a marriage, or a person’s honour, based merely on doubts and assumptions. | 439 |

| 11 |  There is a unique sweetness and immense peace in sajdah when the people of this world hurt your heart. When sorrow surrounds you from all four sides, there is a special sweetness in sajdah, because that is when you turn completely to Allāh.
A heart filled with pain, ❤️🩹
a head bowed in sajdah,
a soul whispering to Allāh, 🫀

| 12 | “Ey oğul! Makam mevkiye kanma. En yüksek makam insanlık makamıdır. Adem'in (aleyhis-selam) oğlusun. Adam ol."
“O son! Do not be deceived by position or rank. The highest rank is that of humanity. You are the son of Ādam (ʿalayhi al-salām). Be a (true) man.”

| 13 |  If you are part of the problem, do not assume that your own home will remain maḥfūẓ from it. What you do to others may one day find its way back to you. Your life may become difficult, and you may find yourself searching for places to hide from what you once caused others to endure.
You would never want a man to look at your daughter with lust or ill intentions. Remember: someone else’s daughter is just as deeply cherished, someone’s beloved daughter, sister, or wife.
Keep your gaze pure. Show others the same honour and protection that you would want for your own daughter, sister, mother, or wife. Do not normalize what you would never accept for your own family.
And if you have fallen into such a sin, do not persist in it. Make sincere tawbah, leave the sin, and seek forgiveness from Allāh Jalla wa ʿAlā. True repentence requires sincerity, remorse, and a genuine resolve not to return to the sin. | 819 |
| 14 | A Wahhābī preacher was dragged from the minbar in Sudan after rejecting the wasīlah of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ, a doctrine affirmed by Sunni scholarship throughout the centuries, from the earliest generations of Islām to the scholars of our own time.
And frankly, the deeper scandal is not that he was removed, it is that such a voice was ever given a minbar from which to preach contempt for the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ. The Masjid of Allāh is not a Najdī laboratory for manufacturing cold hearts. It is not a classroom for rehearsing the language of tashdīd, tajsīm, tabdīʿ, and contempt. It is a house in which the hearts of the believers are turned toward Allāh, and toward love, adab, and taʿẓīm for His Beloved ﷺ.
The Qurʾān itself teaches us the majesty of the Messenger ﷺ. Allāh raises his mention, commands the believers to send ṣalāh upon him, and teaches us to approach the Messenger ﷺ with reverence. So what kind of “tawḥīd” is this that produces contempt for tawassul, hostility toward the awliyāʾ, suspicion of the ṣāliḥīn, and a barren tongue whenever the name of Rasūl Allāh ﷺ is mentioned?
Tawḥīd does not require you to strip the universe of adab. Tawḥīd does not mean denying the means through which Allāh chooses to bestow His mercy.
Tawḥīd means knowing that Allāh alone is the true Faʿʿāl, while the prophets, awliyāʾ, and ṣāliḥīn are honoured means, wasāʾil, through which His grace reaches His creation. | 907 |

| 16 | In the Ottoman schools, every child was evaluated according to his or her talents, and every child had different courses. The beautiful motto of the schools, which was written as graffiti on the walls, was:
Here, no fish will be forced to fly, and no bird will be forced to swim. | 871 |
| 17 |  Al-Imām Abū Ḥāmid al-Ghazālī writes in his Iḥyāʾ ʿUlūm al-Dīn:
It is necessary to permit children to play and have recess following their studies. Constantly preventing a child from playing and straining him with studies can lead to the erosion of his heart, deficiency of his intellect, and spoiling of his life, such that he may eventually seek any sort of evasion to rid his mind of these studies.
When building a relationship with a child, whether as a parent or a teacher, it is important to maintain a sense of balance and moderation. Children, unlike adults, have a natural inclination towards being adventurous, curious, and active. Allowing them the freedom to channel their energy in productive ways can yield positive outcomes. | 861 |

The one who is truly close to Allāh develops ʿajz and humility within their heart, not takabbur.
Because wherever takabbur takes root, love eventually becomes nothing more than words.
The Hellfire will be filled with arrogant and miserly people. When the Holy Prophet ﷺ described its inhabitants, he said:
They are every cruel, haughty, and 𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗮𝗻𝘁 people; every hoarder of possessions and every withholder of good.
[Musnad Aḥmad, 6580] | 1 018 |
| 19 |  Love cannot remain alive for long in the heart of a mutakabbir person. Because love and takabbur cannot dwell in the same heart.
A person who takes pride in their knowledge, boasts about their taqwā, becomes arrogant because of their wealth, authority, or understanding, slowly begins to look down upon others.
And when a person starts seeing others as lesser than themselves, something within them begins to die, and so does their capacity to truly love.
For love teaches a person to humble themselves, to feel deeply, to forgive, and to understand the pain of another. But takabbur sees only the self.
A person consumed by takabbur may often claim to love, yet there is harshness in their tone, ego in their words, and an ever-present “I” in their behaviour.
They care deeply about their own dignity, yet fail to notice the hearts they break. They know how to make others accept their words, but they do not know how to understand another person’s feelings. | 917 |
