In a world dominated by a rapidly changing job market, people have different views as to whether young people should have the freedom to pursue their preferred careers or take a more realistic approach to their future. While I acknowledge that the former can foster personal fulfilment and motivation, I believe that the latter should ultimately carry greater weight, particularly in terms of long-term employment prospects.
Without a doubt, being free when deciding on a career can serve as a powerful catalyst for pursuing one's passion and achieving career satisfaction. When young people prioritize this approach, they are highly likely to enjoy the process by pursuing their ambitions, learning from their mistakes, and exchanging ideas with like-minded colleagues, thereby developing their skills. As a result, they can not only work hard but also remain satisfied in the long term. A good case in point is Jabrell Thompson, who recently left the Manchester City academy. He made this decision because of his interest in the educational sphere and his desire to fulfil his potential. Consequently, he is currently working in a large team that specializes in addressing environmental problems such as air and plastic pollution. Seen in this light, having the freedom to pursue one's desired career can be held in high regard.
In my view, however, realistic options deserve more consideration. As long as young people prefer jobs according to job-market demand, they can achieve long-term stability by earning an adequate salary. This phenomenon may lead to financial security. This is especially beneficial for those who are the breadwinners in their families. Without decent earnings, they may not be able to fully provide for their families. Take my home country—Uzbekistan, where an increasing number of young people are gravitating towards lucrative careers in response to growing job-market demand, rather than allowing personal qualities and passion to dictate their choices. As a direct consequence, they are more likely to secure well-paid positions, which can provide them with a stable source of income and greater financial security in the long run. In a world where the cost of living and daily expenses have reached an alarming level, choosing a job based on realistic views can make a significant difference, not the least of which are financial security and long-term stability.
In conclusion, although I admit the importance of the former stance associated with personal fulfilment and motivation, I maintain that realistic career choices represent greater benefits related to long-term employment prospects and financial stability.

The bar chart illustrates/compares the percentage of females aged 16-25 playing and watching six types of sports - tennis, gymnastics, basketball, badminton, golf, and horse riding and racing - in an unspecified country in 2000.
Overall, all sports recorded larger percentages of viewership, but golf and badminton, whose participation rates were higher than watching. While the figures for basketball were considerably higher than other sports, tennis showed the highest viewership. Notably, horse riding and racing received the least interest, which had negligible rates both for watching and playing.
Females at 16-25 commonly watched and played tennis and basketball in 2000. While the half of the females played basketball, the percentage for watching it was slightly higher, approximately 55%. Tennis viewership accounted for 60%, which was twice as high as the proportion for participation.
Badminton and golf, by contrast, showed opposite patterns. Golf participation was triple as high as watching (10%), while the figure for badminton had slightly lower rates; around 5% and 12% of the females watching and playing badminton, respectively.
Turning to the last two types, both had more viewership. 20% of the females watched gymnastics, whilst nearly 10% participated. The smallest figures for both watching and participating were true for horse riding and racing, which recorded about 5% for watching and 2% for playing.
