| 8 | 📈Good morning. Oil heads for its biggest weekly gain since 2023. Germany is reportedly set to vote against China EV tariffs. And rich Londoners are drawn to postcodes with aristocratic landowners.
🛢Oil steadied following its biggest one-day jump in almost a year on concerns Israel may decide to strike Iranian crude facilities. That’s put the commodity on course for the largest weekly gain since February 2023.
🇨🇳Chinese stocks in Hong Kong continued their ascent after a dip yesterday, with the Hang Seng China Enterprises Index up more than 2%.
🇺🇸US dockworkers at East and Gulf coast ports agreed to suspend strikes until Jan. 15. They started moving cargo again while talks will continue on a new contract, the union said.
Blackstone expects the private credit market to balloon to $30 trillion, fueled by lending for infrastructure projects and greater participation from pension funds.
🇫🇷France and Italy want to squeeze more tax from companies to bring bloated budget deficits under control and ensure their credibility with bond investors.
- Across Europe, extra money is needed to fill the hole caused by crises including the cost of Covid support, soaring energy bills due to inflation and the war in Ukraine.

Here is a little range we were discussing yesterday evening on the call, this 19,850 resistance price, down to 19,600 support price, a nice 250 point range which could be utilised. I'm not going to go too heavy with the setups today, because until we see the data cluster, we want to observe rather than to be involved so much.
Markets are often hesitant and stagnant around these types of economic events. So lets just sit cash for a while and evaluation post event, hopefully the data will give us some opportunities and entries and the stock market open will really help push the volume and give us some drive we need to yield some nice profit. | 3 |

Of course, here is XAUUSD and that beloved trading zone of $2,660/oz we have been following recently (with the exception of that fake-out witnessed on Tuesday. We are looking for a break south of $2,647 price, this is the next area of local support we are looking to break short of. `
If we can break short of $2,647, we can look to target low price of $2,630/oz. We have a clear and attractive void of around 150 points if this next area of support gives way.
That being said, we have no means of entry yet. So another test of $2,660/oz around US stock market open would be amazing. | 4 |

This setup has played out really nicely during recent trade, this week has been excellent offering the same setup over and over again, the play for DJ30 has been very similar to that of XAUUSD. Where we have seen 42,300 price hold as resistance constantly, we have seen $2,660/oz price hold on XAUUSD.
Hoping for again, more of the same today, big day of data for the USD today, followed by another big cluster tomorrow, labour figures today, alongside NFP, AE and UE tomorrow. | 3 |

This week the dollar index has played out like absolute poetry, we first held above our buy zone price and have traded north of 100 the whole time, we bounced and broke 101 resistance price and now we are knocking on the door to this 102.000 handle. We have indicated our area of resistance here.
We may start to see dollar corrections (to the downside) before gearing up for the next expected bullish leg, EURUSD, GBPUSD and stock indices all falling. XAUUSD also, to add to that matter. | 4 |
