❗The meaning of this day is filled with controversy because it is supposedly the saddest day of the year 😭 Many of us find ourselves in subzero weather this time of year ❄️ looking at our post-Christmas credit card bills and realizing we might already be breaking our new year’s resolutions❄️
➡️There is a condition known as Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) ☹️ which is a form of depression that may manifest in certain seasons.
🔗Be intentional about making Blue Monday a fantastic day! 🎉 Host an “anti-Blue Monday” party for friends and serve a signature blue drink of the night such as Blue Hawaiian or Blue Lagoon🍷

🎊 It is a traditional holiday where people spend time with their families ❤️ It involves serious meditation about personal New Year’s resolutions 📨
🧁This is a good day to learn new dishes like Kutya – a porridge made of grain, honey, and poppy seeds, 😋 known to symbolize hope, happiness, and success🌟This will add to your cooking skills, and it’ll be a great way to start the year 🎀

🎉 Calennig 🎉is the Welsh tradition of celebrating and welcoming the New Year🎄
🪩 While many countries have adopted the Gregorian calendar, a village in Wales, known as Cwm Gwaun, is still using the Julian calendar — hence celebrating New Year 13 days later 📅 Nonetheless, the celebration was, and still is spectacular! ✨
⏺On Calennig, people of Wales exchange gifts 🎁 sweets 🎂 or even money with their family and friends to welcome the new year on a good note 🎅
💡Till today, young boys visit each house in the village to splash the villagers with water ❄️ that they retrieved from the local well. This activity is seen as a symbol of good fortune 🍀 In return, the villagers are expected to give the Calennig — a small gift, usually in the form of copper coins🪙

❗️It’s almost halfway through January, and we’re already starting to break our New Year resolutions 😱 If you, like us, could do with a renewed commitment to goals — today’s a great day to begin 🎉
➡️ Contrary to popular opinion, most people succeed at keeping New Year’s resolutions. Don’t believe us❓Many polls out there showcase wills of steel and endless possibility. It’s proof that adults (68% to be precise⚡️) can make and successfully smash their goals.
🔥 It’s hard to stick to the promises you make to yourself. We’ve found that sharing resolutions with a close friend or family member helps ❤️ Ask them to check in with you on how things are going 👍

📕 World Sketchnote Day 📕
✏️ The word ‘sketchnotes’ is a composition of the English words for “sketch” and “notes” ❤️ The art has a very large fan base.
📓 The very act of sketchnoting does two things: helps one remember better ✅ and it lifts the mood 💙 because of the cute graphics. It is based on good listening skills 🎧 and the ability to sift information to capture visually what is important 📌
➡️ If you have ever doodled while on a phone call, at a conference, or in a meeting, you are a prime candidate for sketchnoting❗️Read some available material ✏️ develop your ideas, and you are well on the way to becoming a sketchnoter 🎊

⬆️ Take the Stairs Day ⬇️
📣 You know what that means: celebrate the day by hitting the stairs. Elevator? What elevator? 🥸 If you’re interested in taking things up a notch, run around the block or cycle to work 💻
🔥Staying fit and healthy can be a lonesome road. Take the Stairs Day recognizes the importance of the community's rallying around better health ⚡️ It’s easier when everyone’s in it together 💕
📍The good thing about stairs is you’ll find them everywhere 📣 Gather everyone for a stairs-climbing challenge at the office 🏙 or apartment complex 🏘 It can be a surprising way to bond 🤍
