Prison Update Day 387 So, after talking with several convicts in here, I've noticed most of them have old flames they still communicate with, even in prison. My neighbor mentioned speaking with an ex on the phone and I told him I found that odd. He was puzzled and asked why I DON'T communicate with any of my exs, to which I replied "Doesn't everyone end a relationship like I do? Get into a shouting match, destroy each other with words, burn the bridge and walk away!". I was told that in fact THIS was odd. Idk. I noticed a smidge of performance loss with this new diet, or it's strain from doing extra on Saturday. I've decided to start doing 200 pushups on Saturdays, and hopefully this Sunday I'll be able to another 200, and eventually just do 200 pushups every day on top of the weekday workouts. As my time is getting shorter in here (No, I still don't have an outdate, I just know it'll be June or earlier) I worry about being able to stay motivated and push myself past my limits WITHOUT having my workout car. If I'm able to bring myself to do 200 pushups a day extra, by myself, I think that might help. I don't know what kind of working out I'll be doing when I get out, I'm sure it'll be with weights though. I don't think I know anyone around that'd wanna do this kinda stuff anyway. Everyone (that works out) wants to move the weights. I cheated a couple times...or at least I only remember cheating a couple times...and I went up 5lbs and 2% body fat. Now, the device we use to measure looks kinda cheap; It's shaped like a playstation controller, you hold it out straight and touch metal contacts on it. I don't know how reliable it is really...but I do look a smidge fatter. The new diet will help with this. 1500 calories a day. I'm gonna look right when I get out or die trying to dammit! lol I've finished my books. Angels in Iron was absolutely badass. Never thought I'd like historical fiction. It's about the Christian Knights of St Johns Hospitallers fighting off the Muslim invasion of Sultan Suleiman in Malta in the 1500s. Loved it. Some great characters in it. The author did his research on the whole thing, so I wonder how accurate a few of the characters are in it and how many of them were real. Children of Time was great. Excellent sci-fi. I wont get into what its about, you have the internet, look it up! I loved it. If anyone would...idk...wanna send me the sequel, I'd appreciate it lol. I JUST finished In The Foreign Legion by Erwin Ross. The author joins the French Foreign Legion in 1905 without telling anyone and realizes it was a huge mistake. Legionares were paid 2% what an American soldier was paid at the time and 4% what an English soldier was. They made enough money to buy 2 and a half bottles of shitty wine every week, or one pouch of tobacco. They were essentially slaves and were only fed twice a day, soup and bread, every day. Wild. Anyways, I'm about to start The Hoffman Process, but I'm sure it's just another shitty self help book. Psh. I got no news other than my weight gain. Love yall, see yall soon! (Happy now, Kodiak?) -Nicky the Fatso

Prison Update Day 380 I've mastered burpees. Tuesday we did 100 double pump burpees, 2 at a time, see-saw. We then did another 100 single pump the same way. We might've done more, I don't really remember. Every time we do legs, there's a point we reach doing calves where there's a sharp pain, then they go numb and you can do another 40-50. I reached a similar point in the burpees; About halfway through the 2nd hundo I reached a mental calmness and didn't acknowledge my breathing, the strain in my chest, or the inflammation in my shoulder. For the first time in the group, I kept up with X doing cardio where everyone kept taking small breaks and losing rhythm. I think my lungs have fully recovered from years of smoking, and I've stopped coughing, wheezing, and hacking up gack. My goal before I leave in a few months is to get to 15-17% body fat. Finally being able to breathe on Tuesdays and Thursdays cardio will help me get there a little quicker and burn more. Only thing stopping me is this bitch ass shoulder muscle. I gotta find something for inflammation, I think. I've finally written 2 letters in reply, only 8 more to go lol. Idk why I can't sit there and focus on writing. Sitting at a keyboard still feels way more natural to me. Ah well. I'll throw some music on and crank em out. Downloaded Tom's Diner by Suzanne Vega, but not the version with the 90's dance hiphop beat. Got some new Chromeo too. Personal Effects is killer, so is (I Don't Need A) New Girl. Got some Tom Waits as well. Sadly, they don't have Christmas Card From A Hooker In Minneapolis. Thank you to everyone that's been keeping me fed. The extra protein I get from commissary helps a ton, especially when everything they serve here is loaded with carbs. I'm definitely gonna need some new socks and underwear next month, as everything I have is loaded with holes. We only have 1 laundry day a week and we're not allowed to do laundry on the unit, so I wash my workout stuff in the shower with me, and wringing that stuff out stretches the shit outta everything, but again, not allowed to have laundry hanging anywhere. C'est la BOP. Did I mention I can't wait to go home xD My new diet, to try and get to 15-17% while I'm here, is skipping both breakfast (hot garbage) and lunch, my first meal is a protein bowl of brown rice, soy taco mix, and mackerel post workout, and I'll eat a second for dinner if what they're serving is garbage (which tonight definitely is). The goal is only consuming enough carbs to restore the glycogen in my muscles and re-upping calories with a deficit of at least 800-900 daily. I'm on day 3, and I haven't noticed any dip in my daily energy, nor my performance in the workout. Will adjust it if I NEED to. I'm halfway doing this diet out of spite. Love you all. See you all soon! -Nick

Prison Update Day 367 I took the last 3 days off from working out, my shoulder and deltoid have been killing me. I went to do pullups today, and on the 10th set the pain came back. No, this isn't pain like a rewarding workout soreness, its kinda worrying lol. I just gotta keep stretching it and take it easy for a week, I'm sure. The next 4.5 months are going to be absolute mental Hell. I've already grown twice as annoyed by everyone around me, My napping has gone up 200% in the last 2 days, and all I can think about is getting out. I have the a support network better than anyone could ever ask for, but I still worry about work and supporting my family. I worry about falling into old habbits and losing motivation to work out. I worry about wasting my time again like I did so carelessly before all of this. Eh, I'm sure I'll be fine. What's great about putting this all out there is the shame I don't want to feel; shame is my greatest motivator lol. I'm trying to not think about getting out. The last 2 days have been some of my slowest. It's Friday. Another weekend where I wait for the weekdays to start. We just recieved notice we'll be getting less recreation due to security and safety concerns. Might as well work on my chess game, maybe do some drawing. About 8 months ago one of you sent me the book Angels In Iron, it's a story about The Knights of St Johns Hospitallers fighting off the Turkish invasion of Europe through Malta. When I got it 8 months ago, I struggled to get to page 40, but I just picked it back up and I can barely put it down now. I'm halfway through, and it's a pretty badass book so far. Gonna write some letters and reply to yall...I know, I said I'd do that earlier. It's hard to write the same thing 10 times lol there just aint much to talk about. Love you all, can't wait to see you all. -Nicky

Officially One Year in Prison January 10th 2023 I self surrendered here. Years ago I had prayed and wished for an ordeal to make me, essentially, a better version of myself: Stronger, disciplined, in mind, body and spirit. Aside from all the shitty prison humor I've learned, I feel like I've finally grown up a bit. I've learned to not take my time for granted, that's for sure lol. I spoke to my case manager today, and I'm being put in for halfway house for late May/early June next month after my address/district is changed from DC to Fort Worth. It's relieving to know the wheels are in motion for getting out, but I'm not beginning my slowest, most boring phase of prison: checking the calender everyday til June. Only a couple more months of pathetically depending on yall for commissary funds too lol I just recieved THE BOOK OF BURPEES from one of you, and holy shit this all looks AWFUL! Side Jump burpees, donkey kick burpees, slurpee burpees, purple nurpee burpees...just horrible. I'll try em out though lol Great news today. Love you all. See you all soon. -Nicky

Prison Update Day 363 I had to skip the workout on Thursday and Friday last week. Doing those burpees from Tuesday left a pain in my deltoid, and I'm kinda worried about pushing it too hard and screwing up my rotator cuff like a buddy of mine did. There's a few degrees of movement that hurt, so Im trying to stretch it out in those positions. Gonna try pushups today though. We'll see... I spoke with my case manager on Friday, and she said this week she'll look at my math I did on my time to make sure it's correct based on the new FSA addendum. If it is, who knows, maybe I could be put in for halfway house right then and there. I probably shouldn't get my hopes up, but there isn't really much to think about besides going home now. Can't wait to be out. Haven't heard anything from my lawyer about the 2 point reduction in a month, but maybe he already filed it and didn't tell me. Eh, shouldn't get my hopes up on that either. I'm only typing this because I'm bored. Gonna go write some letters. There's a few of you I've been slacking with replying to. Wednesday will mark 1 year down. Love you all. Miss you all. -Nick

Workout/Prison Update, Day 357 I always dread Tuesdays, because we always do burpees. Sometimes with arm day or chest day, specific routines we do will hurt more than others, or I'm better at certain excercises. No matter what way we do burpees hurt all over lol. First I feel it in my knee, then in my ankle from landing into a plank too hard. Then when my chest starts locking up, my pushups start being compensated by my shoulders. I get lightheaded, and now I seem to be sweating twice as much, so with how thin my hair is it doesn't hold any of that sweat and it pours straight into my eyes. They're red, itchy, and I look like I've been crying. We did 100 single pump burpees, 1x1 seesaw, and took 9 minutes doing them. After a 2 minute break, we did another 100 single pump burpees, this time doing 2 at a time. X felt we didn't really give it our best effort, some of us skipped 1 out of every 10 (yeah I did, it was rough), so we had to repeat that, doing ANOTHER 100 burpees 2x2 seesaw. A couple of our guys got stuck at work and didn't show up til we finished, so X and I stayed to do 20 down single pump burpees with them; 20, then 19, then 18, then 17, all the way to 1 (I stuck to 10's til we hit 9). X tapped out, but I still had a little gas in the tank. They started doing 20 up, and I tapped out at 7 and called it a day lol. 100+100+100+155+28 483 burpees. I'm mad because I didn't realize til right now I was so close to doing 500, but good Lord my shoulders and chest are DESTROYED! Anywho, hope yall are excercising. Do something, anything. Love yall. Miss yall. Hopefully have some answers in a couple weeks regarding halfway house. -Jackd Nicholson

Prison Update Day 356 Happy New Year! This time last year I was stressing pretty hard about getting locked up, all of my free time went to drinking, snorting and stressing all the way to my self surrender. Looking back now, idk if I really hid the stress well or not. Almost a whole year in, and the progress I've made on myself is huge. God has a funny way of teaching you the lessons you want to learn, and its never the easy way. Years ago I wanted to get stronger physically, mentally, and spiritually. I knew though, that with asking for God to help me with these things, he'd present me with an ordeal to overcome. Shortly after thinking about this, the capitol bullshit happened and after 2 stressful years of pretrial supervision, I wound up here with what I essentially asked for. If I had somehow miraculously been one of the 2% that beat the charges the federal government gives them, I probably would have gone back to wasting time, being a fat, lazy piece of shit. I keep forgetting what I'm even typing about. I'm drained after pushups today. 15 regular perfet form pushups, 15 incline, and 15 decline. 10 sets, 450 pushups, and a burnout of 24 at the end. Damn good way to start a new year, although I'm not one of those "new year resolution" goofballs; Just do better now dummy! A year ago I never thought I'd be able to go as hard as I do now. My body and mind feel off if I don't do the workouts now. I'm confident I wont fall back into shitty, seditary life habbits like before. I'm ready to get outta here and make up for the lost time in here and all the years I wasted before this legal bullshit too...Just gotta lose some more of this gut before I leave here lol. I think another 10-15lbs of fat and I'll be comfortable. I don't have much else to say. My brain's tired, gotta finish a drawing I've been working on in the "rubber hose" cartoon style. Probably get that finished this week. Love you all. Miss you all. Can't wait to get out of this shithole. -Nick

J6 Prisoner Update: Day 353 Another Friday, another crazy upper body workout. We found an empty bunk and while horizontal, pulled ourselves up, kinda like reverse of a bench press. 10 of those, then 10 incline push ups going 3 seconds up and 3 seconds down, and 30 calf raises in between just for fun I guess. We did several variations of this, pushups ranging from 5 seconds up and down, then 20 explosions, all random stuff to throw the body off. Similar stuff with the pulling on the bunk. Buckwild, absolutely buckwild. Afterwards, with the pump in full effect, I stepped out of my room shirtless and stared at someone intimidatingly accross the hall. After 1 second, an alarm started going off through the unit. I had to apologize to everyone and promise I'll wear a shirt outta my cell from now on. The alarm went off again a few minutes later, but that one must've been a gay retard alarm for someone else. Time for another boring weekend. Maybe I'll get some drawing done. I'm definitely burnt out on reading. I've read 600% more in this one year than I have in the free. Maybe I'll rent some movies, idk, I can only watch Last Christmas with Amelia Clarke and Henry Golding so many times. Its a real masterpiece though! Been watching my diet for a couple days now, gonna lose the rest of this gut before I get out of here. Love you all, and thank you for helping me so much in here. Miss you all, I'll be outta this shitty situation soon. -Nick

We got a Christmas bag full of free snacks on Thursday; 2 bags of TGI Fridays potato skin chips 1 pack of Coconut Macaroons (artifically flavored, of course) A brownie 1 10 pack of fruit punch mixes A small pack of strawberry cream duplex cookies some other shit and the best item, a bag of Snyder's Honey Mustard and Onion pretzel bites. I've been craving these for a year now. I traded half my holliday bag for others pretzels. WHAT A TREAT! Christmas lunch/dinner was pretty damn pathetic. Everyone's own personal Cornish hen sounds great in theory, but the tiny bones covered in bird skin we were served made the pigeons and squirrels outside look appetizing. Squirrel stew was definitely a dish we considered, little tree rats looking extra plump around winter. The sides with the meal were great, even the mini pecan pie, but the "bird" we got was cooked for an unnecessary extra 12 hours. It looked like they took the skin off, removed the meat from the bones, and put the skin back on. Shit looked like Imhotep from The Mummy starring Brendan Frascher and Oded Fahr (however their names are spelt). My circle of people that get on my nerves cooked a way better meal for ourselves on Christmas Eve, but I wont get into details. Friday we worked out extra because we knew we weren't doing a damn thing on Monday. I did 30 pushups followed by 10 pullups, 15 sets of that. 450 pushups, 150 pullups. Felt good. I was sore all the way through Monday lol. I probably put on 6 or 7 pounds in the last week between the holliday bag and our personal meals. I haven't really been dieting too hard, but I can definitely feel that while my weight feels similar, my shoulders and chest are filling out a bit more, and my arms are looking bigger again. Good stuff. I can't remember when I started working out with these strong guys...I think early May... so about 8 months. I can't wait to see my results on the 1 year mark. I don't remember if I have any pictures from before the workout, but I'll buy some photo tickets and take some update pics next month. I don't know if I'll reach my goal of being able to bench 250 by the time I get out, but I'll keep working at it regardless. Aside from being held captive by the federal government, I feel great: My mind is clear and my anger and rage are under control, and I haven't had many sadboy days since getting used to this. My body is being treated closer to how it deserves with excercise for minimal 5 hours a week, and the best I can diet under the circumstances, I will improve this when I get outta here and have access to real nutrition. My soul...I don't know how to describe it. I feel more calm, less stressed and troubled from all the fucked off shit in my past. I get baptized in 4 days and confirmation right after. It all feels great, minus the whole not being free thing. However, I know my captors would prefer I do much worse in here, and my ever day improvements are small victories over them. Big thanks again to everyone taking care of me and my family in here. Ansley, got that 2nd deposit, thank you! I love you all. Miss you all. Will fight you all with THIS SUPER JACKED BODY WHEN I GET OUT! -JACK'D NICHOLSON

A Very Merry Christmas in Prison Update: Yesterday (Friday) was arm day, and since we were not gonna workout on Monday with it being Christmas and all, we combined Monday's workout with our pullups. 50/10s. 50 pushups, then 10 pullups. 20 sets. My limit is still lower, so I was doing 30 pushups and 10 pullups with my feet held. I hope I'm able to get my pullups higher like I did with my chin ups before I leave. We only made it to 15 sets, but I feel good (sore) about it. 450 pushups. Ooof. I haven't been doing the diet for a couple weeks now, but I've been eating either the rice or the beans on the trays, never both. My body shape doesn't seem to have changed as far as losing more fat, but I'm noticing a little more pronunciation in my shoulders and arms. Dieting will be much easier in the free without being limited to chow slop or heavily preserved commissary food. Speaking of being in the free, I'm just waiting on the new FSA thing to be finalized. Some kind of computer tool is needed for getting me to a halfway house, and I think there's other that when they have the tool will be closer to the door than myself, so I'll probably have to wait for them to get out first. It's hard to be patient with this stuff, especially when I get constant updates from inmates who watch the news in here regarding January 6th stuff. Time gets on my mind way too often as of late. I watched Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li last night with Owens. It was easily one of the worst movies I've ever seen. There's a character named Nash who was clearly written for Keanu Reeves but they couldn't get him for the role. Vega was played by one of the Black Eyed Peas. Chun Li started out as a very Asian girl, then grew up to be less and less Asian with each actress. None of it made sense. Bison is buying up all the ghettos of Bangkok, but his real goal is finding his daughter...which I think he already had... I don't even know how you could make a movie about a 2d fighting game. The one thing that made Chun Li stick out in the game was the rapid kicking move she could do, and she doesn't do that once in the movie. Comically bad. It'll probably be Tuesday before this gets out, but I'll say it anyway. Merry Christmas! Thank you all who've been helping me in here and making my time super easy. I know I piss and moan alot about being stuck in here, but I'm absolutely blessed to have the support I do in here, especially when I see so many others who've been forgotten about, or never really had any family or friends to help them from the start. Between the commissary, the books yall have sent. The letters. Everything. Thank you. I had planned on writing Christmas cards and sending them, but I wasn't thinking about the weekend and what day Christmas falls on. Ah well. Thank you all. Love you, miss you. Merry Christmas! -Nicky

Day 331 Vill, please post Prisoner Christmas from the Professor Brothers to the page. Thank you all for putting money on my books, really appreciate it. They're selling bacon at commissary, so I'll be eating good for a bit lol Father Richard told me today that on the 31st I'll be baptized and confirmed and all that. Very exciting! I had a visit with my Dad that was...a little scary. It happens once or twice a month, but he was absolutely loopy and absent minded. He kept stopping his sentences halfway through and staring off. My Mom says it typically happens when he doesn't sleep good the night before, but this seemed more like Alzheimers. I hate that I'm in here and I can't do anything to help them. Please pray for my dad. I'll be outta here soon though. Speaking of which, I recieved further confirmation that the case managers are just waiting for some kind of computer tool to start releasing people with the new FSA update. If they had the tool now, I'd be elligible for halfway house right now. Once they get it going, I'm outta here! I do worry about leaving though. Mostly that I wont be working out as hard. The biggest help to my fitness in here is our workout car and the standards we hold each other too. I fear I will be lazy again, or at least not push myself hard enough. Even if I find a group out there, or form one, nobody's schedules are going to line up right. Speaking of working out, we did 4x4s on Thursday. 5 pushups, 5 mountain climbers, 5 jumping jacks, 5 burpees. Then 10 of each, 15, 20, 20, 15, 10, and back to 5. We did 3 cycles of that. The burpees and mountain climbers got rough because we were running out of dry floor to excercise on, so instead of a kickout on the burpee, it was a slide out. Vill, you better stick to working out, because we'll be doing shit like this when I get out there! This will be my first, and last, Christmas in prison. I'll call as many people as I can, but these phones are gonna have some long lines. The boys and I got a little meal we're gonna throw together to celebrate. We're also getting (I hear) our own cornish hens and a big meal, along with a holiday bag with candy and stuff. VERY NICE! My time in here is almost up, and I can't wait for all this to just be some crazy stories to laugh at. Love you all. Miss you all. Hope you all are doing well. Excercise! -Nick

Day 326? Idk what day. Not a year yet. So there's a rumor going around that the initial FSA update I heard about is actually being put into motion, meaning they'll grant me not only the year in advance for planning for halfway house, but also the credits after that would go towards home confinement. I'm not getting my hopes up, April/May is still really good. However, my friend with the same sentence that got in 4 months after me says he's in the process of being put into a halfway house in April. So...4 months before April....Who knows? Maybe I'll be put in for it now. Maybe not. Burpees sucked today, more than usual, because yesterday we changed up our pushup routine. Its been a few months since the last time we did push ups with the 40lb bag on our shoulders. We do as many of those as we can do, then someone takes the bag off and we continue doing our max without the bag. Last time I think I did 10 pushups with and 10 without. This time I was doing 20 pushups with the bag and 10 without. We did 5 sets of those, then 2 burnouts on perfect form pushups. Too many don't do perfect pushups routinely (full extension, chest to the ground), but I try to ONLY do them that way, only time I don't is with burpees. My chest is torqued. I was on fire today with burpees. 100 navy seal burpees in sets of 3, then 100 double-pump burpees in sets of 4. I was absolutely on fire, hot to the touch! WHAT AN ORDEAL! I made it though. The group did not let me slack on any of them, AND I didn't injure myself today! Thank you to everyone that's been throwing the dough on my books, it helps out a ton in here. Thank you Ansley, idk why you got blocked nationwide off of Trulincs. Pretty odd! Please pray for my Dad, he's back in the hospital again. They haven't figured out whats wrong yet, but he keeps getting short of breath and nearly passing out. Love you all. Miss you all. I'll update more when I learn more. -Nick

Today was leg day, but we went back to doing 30 minutes of core workouts again before our main focus. It came time to end it with planking, and X wanted to do our usual 2 minute plank, 1 minute left plank, 1 minute right, then back to regular plank for 1 minute. I said "Nuh uh. I'm doing a 6 minute plank today". He told me I couldn't do it, and I chuckled and said "Not only can I do it, but I am. Alright picked 2 songs on my tablet that add up to 6 minutes in duration". American Psycho by Misfits and Baptism by Crystal Castles is like 6 minutes and 10 seconds, but close enough. He bet me I couldn't. I was REALLY feeling it at 4 minutes in, pretty rough, and I looked up at X shaking, ready to break. He fell, and I calmed my mind and just listened to the music. 6 minute plank. rough stuff, but I did it. Crazy that Cher, at age 77, does a 7 minute plank every day....or so I heard. Hard to look that up in here. I read a newsletter I get in an email on here every couple weeks, and things don't look great in terms of getting out of here early. The email has testimonies from inmates who got released and shared their experiences with getting halfway house and the correct amount of FTCs applied. Inmates are constantly being told that the halway houses are packed and its hard to get into them, but when you get there you see that only half the beds are full, and they stay half full too. Read a couple stories of others not being granted their full halfway house time too from First Step Act and Second Chance Act. I'm coming to terms with the high, very high probability that I won't be getting out of here any time soon. It is what it is. I'll keep using this time to improve, make my body and mind less soft, and teach myself better discipline. I love you all. Miss you all. -Nick

Prison Update Day 328 (sad news) Well, I waited to make this update in hope I'd have better news regarding the FSA bulletin that went out, but sadly I don't. It doesn't appear that the way the bulletin explains how time credits will be applied is going to be honored, sadly, regardless of a staff member confirming it WOULD. Again, just how it appears. Also, not speaking poorly of the staff. Still waiting on that sentencing ammendment though, so hopefully that'll reduce my time a bit. Praying for that halfway house in April. We did our pushup routine we've been on for the last few weeks, but instead of explosions, we did ALL the pushups with perfect form, 1 second up and 1 second down. I was on sets of 15, so 15 normal, 15 incline, and 15 decline. I THINK I put in 8 sets before I had to drop to 10....then 5 on the following lol. Just did the math, and I did over 400 puhups. Feels good. I didn't lose my form and rely on my shoulders either. Last Thursday I set a new personal record. We did 3-5-7s, and I haven't done those since (I believe) my 2nd month working out. 3 half-burpees, 5 Mike Tysons, 7 crawl-outs. I did 26 sets, and I was going to push to 30, but others quit before I did. 78 half-burpees, 130 Mike Tysons, and 182 crawl-outs (I think I did that math right (fuck it, it's right enough!)) I think June was my second month doing this, and when we did 3-5-7s then, I think I was doing 3-4-5s and only made it to 15 sets lol. Probably had to swap the crawl-outs for regular pushups too. ATX is our sensei, showing us how to overcome our limits we put on ourselves, and calm the storm in our minds. I don't know if I have a goal for what I want to look like, but my mind and body are getting stronger for sure. The entire compound hasn't had recreation in 8 days now, and it's rumored we wont get it again til February. Something about needing metal detectors at the gate. Idk. It's bullshit, and I would imagine is going to affect the mental health of many in here not being outside. It sucks for me, since I can't check out a guitar again, and the guitar teacher is dying of cancer so by the time we get rec back, he might already be dead or under some kind of intensive care. I was just nailing the riff for Dashboard by Modest Mouse too. Just awful. There's some special holiday items for sale at comissary that'll only be here for this month. They also upped our spend limits to $410 this month only. If anybody wants to bless me and my books with some extra dough ;D I'd appreciate it! I was kinda getting down on the new with the FSA shit, but I'm over it. I'll get out whenever I get out. I'm learning self discipline in here. Im improving the trifecta of one's self: Body, Mind, and Soul. Although I can't weigh myself right now with the scales being at recreation, I'm still going hard as fuck on the diet. I'm going doubly as hard on the workouts. I've been going to RCIA at Mass every Sunday. I'm improving every day while I watch others in here at a stand still. Another lil update: I'm down 6lbs in 8 days. Last Friday (Nov 17) I weighed 217. Today I'm 211. At this rate I will hit my goal of 185lbs by Christmas, or close to it. IF the weight loss slows down, I'll start OMAD again, regardless of losing a smidge of muscle. Thanksgiving was pretty good. We were all served massive turkey legs, green beans with peppers mixed in, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes, and pecan pie. I only ate the first 2 things though. If I can control myself in here, even when we get the rare, delicious holiday meal, I can easily have the same self control in the free. Many in here will tell you the way you move in here is the same way you'll move out there. Moving "out there" may be happening sooner than I expected as well, as there was another update to the First Step Act. If we read it correctly, we should be getting time credits in advance if you have a low or minimum recidivism, which I do. If this is true, I could be put in for halfway house next month I believe. This is all WITHOUT the time reduction my public defender filed for. If that happens in February, I should be immediately going to a halfway house. Anywho, mostly wanted to just update my weight. Love you all. Miss you all. -Nick

Prison Update Day 317 (I think) We had a pretty decent Thanksgiving meal yesterday; Big ass turkey leg, bunch of sides, pecan pie. I only ate the turkey and the greenbeans, and it felt good to have that self control on a holiday where most are gluttonous. We took a day off of working out too, but I'm sure X has something crazy lined up for arm day today. I had time to make a few phone calls, but if I didn't get a chance to call you I hope you had a great Thanksgiving. I've been messaged by a few and told about all the January 6th footage being released and all that. To be honest, I didn't know it was ever made secret. I could've sworn there was a website that catalogued everything based on what time it happened too. I now wake up every day with a headache, and I think it's from caffeine dependency. Next month I'll buy some tylonol and try to break my caffeine addiction too. Why not? I'm trying to turn this whole thing into a self-improvement stage of my life, I might as well break every habbit I can in here. Although...when I get out, I don't see myself resisting against that sweet sweet taste of RedBull. A pal in here told me about a new FSA update, and I'm hoping his interpretation is correct. It looks like instead of federal time credits being earned over time, they'll be given to you automatically if you start your bid at a low or minimum recidivism rating, which could have me put in for a halfway house next month, and that's BEFORE the sentencing ammendment time adjustment that was filed. I might get into a halfway house by February, that'd be pretty rad. Either way, yesterday was the first AND the last Thanksgiving I'll have to spend here. Workout time. Love you all, miss you all. -JACK'D NICHOLSON
