The pie charts below show how the different types of courses were followed by the students during the years of 1984, 1994 and 2004
The charts below show the percentage of five kinds of books sold by a bookseller between 1972 and 2012.
The pie-charts compare the sales of five types of books in three different years:1972, 1992, 2012.
The pie-charts give information about the changes in the sales of five types of books by a bookseller in three different years.
Overall, while rising trends were observed in the sales of fictions for adults and children, the reverse was true for other remaining types. It is also noticeable that the sales of all given kinds of books were more or less equally distributed initially, whereas, toward the final year, fictions were sold at significantly higher rate.
Adultsβ and childrenβs fiction were the categories that saw a rise in sales. In 1972, the sales of both categories made up the same 20% each. After a decade, the figures for both rose minimally to 25% and 22% respectively. However, by 2012, the sales of adult fiction had jumped to 45%, while that of childrenβs had increased insignificantly.
The opposite pattern was observed in the sales of the remaining three types of books. The most noticeable reductions were recorded in the sales of βotherβ and biographies from 25% to 12% and 20% to 8% respectively. By contrast, the figure for travel books followed a slightly different trend, with an initial rise to 18%, followed by a fall to 10% in 2012.
