| 15 | Well, the test isn't as hard as many people might think. It is quite manageable unless you don't stress out on the test day, it is really important that you believe in yourself.
Listening: To be honest, I never got higher than 8 in any practice test or mock exam before the real exam. I think the level of concentration made the difference, on mocks I never was nearly as focused as I was in the main test. Tips: just practise keeping your focus for longer periods.
Reading: Definitely not my strongest part, in my view. As most students I find it quite boring to practise, but I can definitely say it is the only way to improve it. Mrs. Grace used to give us tons of articles everyday, which played a crucial role in improving reading comprehension.
Writing: Well, I never practised it that much cause I was stuck with the mindset: you get 6.5 no matter how good you write it. It is obviously not true, it is quite possible to get a band 7 or higher, you just need to keep writing them and getting feedbacks, focusing on your mistakes.
Speaking: The only score I actually deserve in my opinion (there was a a significant overperformance in other parts). What can I say about it? Just be confident and most importantly, be yourself. It is harder to lie than tell the truth. Avoid giving memorized answers, you should sound natural.
Take your time to have a chat with yourself. You know you can do it, you have put in a lot of effort, and it is time to get the reward, good luck. | 1 073 |

Personally,I always thought that I am going to be nervous on real ielts, but actually I was really confident on test day.I think it is becouse of my experience of participating in mocks.
1)Listening.I think it is really helpful to watch things like films,YouTube videos or podcasts on English(especially science-related videos). Also I would recommend to try to undertand things by listening only one time.
2)Reading.I think my mistake in readings was doing a lot of readings, and not analyzing. It is really effective to work on mistakes first ,analyze them, understand the reasons try to fix them.Usually it is problem of lacking vocabulary in bad reading,so I would suggest to increase your lexical resource.
3) Speaking. In speaking I would recommend to practise it with partner so that partner would give a feedback. And then try to work on mistakes.
4)Writing.I wasn't really good in this part, becouse I didn't worked on it a lot,so I advise you to practise writing more . For me it is the hardest one. | 1 442 |

| 20 | Hi everyone!
I took IELTS with Cambridge Learning Center. To be honest, I liked the atmosphere which was already familiar to me as I used to participate in mock exams a lot therefore I wasnβt nervous or worried. And I made the right choice!
1)Listening. For me taking notes was useful, especially in multiple-choice questions. In addition, learning from mistakes is important too.Β When I used to do Cambridge tests I made a mistake in section 1, I wrote eight instead of egg because I heard it that way and repeated the same mistake in a real exam. So if you hear the words but you are not sure, do not write that word u heard but also look to the context.
2) Reading: It was a bit complicated. I made a couple of mistakes in passage 1 in note completion because of a lack of vocabulary. So learning words and practicing them to put them into context is vital.
3) Writing: First off, I wrote the intro and overall in task 1, after that, I started planning task 2. I didn't have any problems with coming up with ideas because we used to plan and get ideas for each topic during the class with Ms.Grace.
4) Speaking: I should have had online communication but I had face-to-face. I was surprised and delighted simultaneouslyπ
. My part 1 and 2 were good, but I screwed up a bit in part 3 as I wasnβt expecting such questions. It was about false information. To tell the truth, I have prepared for all topics except this as I was sure that I wouldn't get this topic as it was old. So I think we should prepare for each of them and not skip even if it is old, at least get ideas.
Ms Grace played an important role in getting such a result. I will always be grateful for the time and effort she put into teaching us. Her passion for education is truly infectious!β€οΈ | 1 457 |
