"ECAMPUZ" International project of ERASMUS + Capacity Building in Higher Education program, co-funded by the European Union. 📣ECAMPUZ project organized a mixed mode CAMP 2 training for 4 students from Urgench State University (UrSU)🇺🇿 📝Subjects to be covered: Food Safety and Food Microbiology ✅CAMP 2 Period for online lectures: 25-27th June and 10-12th July 2024 ✅CAMP 2 Period live mode: 2-5th July, 2024 🔔Hosting organization: University of Copenhagen, Denmark🇩🇰 The online lectures on Food Microbiology started on 25th June 2024. All the topics on Food Microbiology covered during the CAMP 2 training at the University of Extremadura 🇪🇸 are being presented to 4 participants in online mode. Our 4 participants and 1 tutor accompanying from UrSU 🇺🇿 had a intensive training on Food Safety at the University of Copenhagen 🇩🇰 last week. The lectures started on the topic of Foodomics, which highlighted the importance of Foodomics in food science and human dietary. They were introduced to GC-MS Methods, the topics of “Infrared Spectroscopy (IR)” and "Near Infrared Spectroscopy (NIR)".

The experience of having been introduced to the slaughterhouse (mainly for lamb and sheep) in Spain gave a chance to compare slaughtering, storing and packing methods applied in Spain and Uzbekistan. Our participants had a chance to see how sheep and goat milk are processed at the factory "Los Casareños" in Casar de Caceres, and tasted one of the prominent cheeses made from sheep milk - Torta del Casar. "ECAMPUZ - European World Talent Camp for Uzbekistan Scientists in Food Science and Technology" International project of ERASMUS + Capacity Building of Higher Education program, co-funded by the European Union. 📣📣The second day of CAMP 2 program on the topic "FOOD SAFETY AND FOOD MICROBIOLOGY" is going on at the University of Extremadura (Caceres, Spain) right now. 📝📝Our participants were divided into the groups and given a challenge to work on. The groups started the practical lessons in the laboratory of the University of Extremadura. They will have defense presentations of their challenge topic on the final day of their training. During the lectures on the topic of "ADVANCE ANALYTICAL TECHNIQUES FOR TOXIC COMPOUNDS" carried out by the Assoc.Professor Bekzod Khakimov (University of Copenhagen) there were formed 5 teams to brainstorm the followings: - giving an example of food that contains one or more types of toxins mentioned during the lecture; - what are their sources? - how to avoid them? - health effect? 📣📣📣ECAMPUZ project presents the “Train-the-trainer” program participants from 2023 The representatives of the University of Copenhagen (Denmark🇩🇰) and the University of Extremadura (Spain🇪🇸) of the project "ECAMPUZ - European World Talent Camp for Uzbekistan Scientists in Food Science and Technology – ERASMUS-EDU-2022-CBHE” selected the first 6 participants of "train-the-trainer" program from UZB partner organizations🇺🇿 of ECAMPUZ project in August 2023. Our 6 trainees have had the opportunity to take comprehensive training and gain valuable experience in partner EU HEIs. Participants from UZB partner organizations of the project have been going through pre-defined training and work on a subject of their interest under the supervision of and in collaboration with EU partners. #ECAMPUZ #ERASMUS #CBHE "ECAMPUZ - European World Talent Camp for Uzbekistan Scientists in Food Science and Technology - ERASMUS-EDU-2022-CBHE" , co-funded by the European Union, organized the “Follow-up meetings with the CAMP 1 participants” from 26th February to 4th March, 2024 at the Andijan State University, Urgench State University, Bukhara Engineering Technological Institute and Center for Advanced Technologies. The representatives of the University of Copenhagen (Denmark)🇩🇰 and the University of Extremadura (Spain) 🇪🇸 visited the Center for Advanced Technologies 🇺🇿 on 04th March 2024 where the final day of the "Follow-up meetings with the CAMP 1 participants” was organized. During the follow-up visit, EU trainers held additional scientific seminars with CAMP 1 participants from Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology 🇺🇿 and National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek 🇺🇿 as well as with other UZB partners, including the food industry. EU trainers gave brief feedback about the participants of CAMP 1 and reports prepared by the CAMP 1 participants. The representatives of Tashkent Institute of Chemical Technology and National University of Uzbekistan named after Mirzo Ulugbek provided additional information about the main subjects taught within Food Science and Technology and the main research within Food Science and Technology at their HEI. One of the most remarkable parts of the meeting was the conversation between the representatives of project's EU partners and the representatives of food industry from such food companies as LLC "Promeat", Association "Uzyogmoysanoat", LLC "Mehnat Pivo", JSC "O'zbekiston shampani", LLC "Innovation-ideas" and others. During the meeting were discussed topics about the current problems in food industry of UZB.
