Repost from دندون
In the name of love I write this.
I write this for the lovers who have to hide because people think love has limits.
I have seen nothing more beautiful than the love between two queer people. So pure and beyond our understanding, but we have been pushed to the shadows for so long that people have forgotten that we existed.
They forgot how our hands will always find each other in every crowd.
They forgot the bravery of a glance.
They forgot that love does not ask permission to exist. It simply does.
We have learned to speak in coded languages,
to hide our pronouns,
to swallow our stories before they have time to reach the air.
We have learned how to measure safety before honesty.
And yet, still, we love.
We love in whispers and in laughter.
We love in hidden places.
We love by surviving this madness.
There is nothing unnatural about two souls recognizing each other.
There is nothing shameful about warmth, about longing, about choosing someone and being chosen back.
To those who hide, you are not wrong for loving.
To those who are afraid, your love is not a mistake.
To those who have been told to disappear, you are here, and that is enough.
In the name of love, I write this
so that no one can say we were silent,
so that no one can say we did not exist,
so that one day, no one will have to hide
