17 ๐บ๐ฆExactly 10 years ago, the ultras of the football clubs "Chornomorets" and "Metalist", activists of "Right Sector", Self-Defense and caring citizens of far-right and nationalist views came to the defense of Odesa against armed pro-Russian separatists.
Clashes began in the city center on Greek street, Deribasivska street, and Greek Square, and later turned into the pursuit of armed supporters of Russia through most of the city center to their place of deployment โ Kulikovo Pole, the House of Trade Unions, in which they hid.
Both sides threw "Molotov cocktails", shooting took place. Pro-Russian separatists equipped firing points in the House of Trade Unions, from where they fired aimed shots at pro-Ukrainian activists, two of whom were wounded.
After some time, a fire broke out in the building, which the separatists broke into, as a result of arson, as a result of which several dozen people died. All these actions were a violation of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, from the point of view of the law, nationalists were criminals.ย But history has put everything in its place. Today is the day of victory over the separatists in Odesa.
Also, today we would like to pay our respects to the fallen nationalists and remember the corporal of the "Right Sector" Ihor Ivanov, who died due to the refusal of medical help in the "Jewish Hospital". There they referred to the fact that he was "from the region", in connection with which they refused to provide assistance.
The events in Odesa are yet another example of the fact that agreements, resolutions and memoranda do not work properly, but only drive people into slavery. Freedom is an evil nationalist youth, its determination, blood and fire.
Glory to the Heroes who defended Odesa and other Ukrainian cities.
