With Avian Bird Flu in the news and on our doorstep we need to get prepared now! Calling all farmers and anyone who owns chicken or wants to own chickens or livestock. We are gathering the best common law experts in the country to give us the tools to know what to say when the bird flu inspectors come knocking. We've seen what they can do to our Bees and Fire Ants. Now they are after the chickens and the cows will be next. Join us Tuesday 2nd July 8pm in a round table discussion where you'll be armed with the right information to protect your livestock. "RED PILLED RAMBLERS" Walk -  Sunday, 30th June 2024. Meeting outside the Green Man Public House Inglewhite from 10.00am for a prompt 10.30am start. Kathryn & Malcolm, Stand in the Park Preston & The Community Assembly of Lancashire have arranged an 8 mile walk (around 3 & 1/2 hours, excluding refreshment stops etc). Meeting and finishing at The Green Man public house, Silk Mill Lane, Inglewhite, Preston PR3 2LP. Plenty of off-street parking in the village. Please do not park on the Green Man car park as this is relatively small. NB There are no public toilets available in the village. Refreshments after the walk at the Green Man public house. For our second walk this Summer it is moderate with one climb using minor lanes, footpaths across fields, so may be muddy, if wet. There will be a short stop (10 minutes) at Brock Bottoms Picnic Area before the uphill section to Beacon Fell where there is a cafe and toilets (30 minute stop). Please bring packed lunch if required. For those people who like Ice Cream we will be calling, on our return, at a small farm shop that produces Artisan Ice Cream made from their Goats Milk.
