What we are creating in Antalya is not merely an EMS facility. It is more like a showroom where we are establishing the manufacturing process to perfection. A production facility without any compromise. Everything, including the location, building, equipment, processes, and IT systems, is optimized to the fullest extent. We are maximizing both the capabilities that are accessible to our customers and the efficiency of our manufacturing process. That is precisely why I am in Nuremberg today - searching for new tools at the SMTconnect fair. You will see my discoveries on the shop floor soon.

Drumroll please... Our Antalya factory just got a shiny new toy - a state-of-the-art SMT line! It's like Christmas came early for our production team. We can practically hear the machines singing 'we will, we will SMT you' to all our circuit boards. Can't wait to see what wonders this baby can produce!

Hey folks, just a quick reminder! With industry leaders like CW Energy, Fiberli, Imecar, Desird, and many others calling it home, Antalya is quickly transforming into a hotspot for electronics manufacturing. And guess what? We're actively hiring too! Let's join forces, make our city a tech leader on the Mediterranean coast, Turkey and beyond!

I know you're working on building a team for your new business, and I wanted to share some advice that I've learned from my own experiences. It's really a two-phase process, and I think you'll find it helpful as you build your own dream team. Phase 1: The Initial Gathering In the beginning, focus on bringing together a group of adaptable and passionate individuals. Don't stress too much about specific skills or backgrounds—instead, look for "good people" who are willing to learn and contribute. You'll likely see some turnover during this phase, but those who stick around will prove invaluable and have the potential for rapid career growth. Phase 2: Pursuing Expertise After about six months to a year, you'll want to start refining your team. This is when you can be more selective in your hiring process. While it would be great to find experienced professionals from your industry, don't worry if that's not possible. You can still look for enthusiastic newcomers who are eager to learn or seasoned experts from related industries. The mix of fresh ideas and experience will really drive your business forward. The Final Result As you progress through these phases, you'll notice your team becoming more cohesive and united by a shared vision. You'll have a diverse group of individuals with various talents, passions, and resilience—all contributing to the success of your company. Always remember that the journey of building your team is just as important as the end result. Embrace the adventure, and cherish the growth you'll experience together. I'm confident that with your dedication and perseverance, your startup is destined for greatness! Good luck, and I'm here to support you every step of the way.

My previous post was written by ChatGPT. I could not have imitated the HR-zombie style so well myself.

Ah, the joys of being a hiring manager! I've received CVs that were longer than "War and Peace" and shorter than a TikTok video. While I appreciate the attention to detail, let's be real - ain't nobody got time to read a 10-page resume. And while a one-liner might be catchy, it doesn't give me enough information to make a decision. So, what's the sweet spot? Well, it depends on the job and your experience, but try to strike a balance between giving me enough information and keeping it concise. Use bullet points, highlight your achievements, and tailor it to the job you're applying for. And remember, your CV is your chance to show off your skills and personality, so don't be afraid to let your awesome shine through!

Every time I start a new business, surprised by how much there is nothing new about it. When I moved to Turkey, I thought that the country was new and the culture was totally different, so everything would probably be different. But no, in fact, everything is extremely predictable and nothing is fundamentally differs. You make realistic promises - fulfill them - build a reputation - make new promises. Repeat thousand times - profit!

I asked ChatGPT to write a good motto for an EMS (electronics manufacturing services) company. This is what he came up with: "Expertise, efficiency, excellence: your partner in EMS" "From design to delivery, we make it happen" "Innovative solutions, superior quality, on-time delivery" "Empowering your success with electronics manufacturing services" "Leading the way in electronics manufacturing" "Innovation, reliability, customer satisfaction: our top priorities" "Bringing your electronic products to life" Nice tool to make something boring, isn't it? It's perfectly ready to replace 99% of copywriters in our industry.

The main lesson of my 25 years as an entrepreneur is that you don't need unique technology or a unique product to succeed. Nor do you need a huge investment. In most cases, even in old and mature industries, all you need to succeed is honest communication and good customer care. This is exactly what our world lacks.

My main task now is to launch production in Vilnius. A small production facility, with small investments. Because we will be ready to seriously invest in Lithuanian production somewhere at the end of 2023 or beginning of 2024. But big investments do not solve the problem of chicken and eggs. Where to get customers before the production is launched and how to occupy the employees before the first customers are found? So we start with small production, a microfactory for micro-customers. Once the first employees and basic processes will appear - there will be something to expand. With the support of our mature production facilities in Turkey and China, it won't be that hard to grow. And I plan to tell here in detail about how it is going. Of course, there is a risk that the idea will not take off, but failures are even more interesting, right?

Finished another run to update our website. In fact, it turns out that we have to rework it significantly every year. Over the year, our vision of what we are really doing changes so radically that the site begins to look obscenely outdated. And I like to update the site myself. It's such a creative process when I have to articulate and communicate in a clear way how I see our company. Not only for clients and employees, but also for myself.
