(planning to get my first foldable phone but waiting for Fold 8 so I don't buy last year model 1 month before a new one is released and get as many years of support as possible)

I really hate this part about myself where I decide to buy something new that is not yet available and it makes me hype myself up a bit too much. I know that once I get the thing I want my life will change from that point and I'll likely enjoy the experience quite a lot but I also think I should be a bit more stoic about it instead of getting excited that I'll consoom soon

some programmers have this silly misconception that all code always is or should strive to be mathematically pure and everything that isn't is somehow wrong or terrible. they barely survive outside academia and they often pivot towards open source because it allows them to be wrong loudly and proudly. not surprising they absolutely fucking hate anything that has to do with UIs and actual user experience
