DISASTROUS DROUGHT is BLAMED FOR IT. BUT.... As of April 2026, couple of sources put Indonesia at 170 data centers total, with nearly half in hot locations. Another source says the market has 81 operational facilities and 24 upcoming ones. These numbers are only for AI-specific data centers. There are others too. It is known that these centers use fresh water to cool down their systems and turn the waters toxic for any living being living in it to survive in. Including living beings drinking from it.
