MENINGITIS - Approach
🔸️Empirical antibiotics with dexamethasone can be given few hours before lumbar puncture and doesn't alter CSF picture.
- Never refrigerate CSF sample for microbial culture as it can inhibit growth of organisms. Keep at room temperature.
