Meta has rolled out a multimodal AI update for its Ray-Ban smart glasses in the US and Canada, allowing users to interact with Meta AI. With Meta AI, users can engage their smart glasses through voice commands by simply saying "Hey Meta" and asking about what they are seeing. The AI assistant can then leverage the built-in camera to analyze the visual scene and provide smart, contextual information or suggestions. Meta is also adding the ability to share your view on a video call via WhatsApp and Messenger, completely hands-free.

Neuralink, Elon Musk’s neural-technology company, has revealed that a 29-year-old man who was paralyzed after a diving accident is the first human to have received its brain-chip implant. The patient, Noland Arbaugh, said during a livestream on X that the chip was “not perfect” but it had already added many improvements to his life, such as giving him the ability to play video games for hours without having to rely on help from his family. Musk first announced in January that Neuralink had implanted one of its chips into a human for the first time, following several years of tests conducted on animals.
