TL;DR: The 37.66% APY is a temporary effect caused by a large withdrawal mid-cycle. One validation round paid roughly double rewards, while the next round earns no rewards. Combined, this works out to about 17.3% APY, which is in line with Hipo's normal yield. APY will return to its usual ~17.5% range after the next participated validation round.
Quick explainer on the recent APY jump: it's a timing quirk, not a change in real returns.
A large holder withdrew ~2M GRAM (about half of TVL). But the round already in progress had loans sized off the old ~4M pool. When it settled, rewards earned on ~4M of principal went to a pool backing half as many hGRAM, so remaining holders earned roughly double for that one round. The APY display annualizes the latest round, hence 37.66%. A real one-time windfall, not an error.
The flip side: with TVL halved mid-cycle, we couldn't participate in the current round, so it will earn no rewards. One double round + one quiet round = ~17.3% annualized right at the normal rate.
What to expect:
- The display will stay at ~37.66% until the next participated round settles, then step back to normal in one move. Both are expected.
- From then on, loans are sized to the current pool and APY returns to its usual ~17.5% range.

We've upgraded the Hipo Bot to share key protocol metrics directly in Hipo Chat, including TVL, APY, and token prices. The data is refreshed every 30 minutes and posted daily to keep the community informed.
2οΈβ£ Rewards Display Fix
Thanks to a report from a Hipo community member, we identified and fixed an issue that caused the displayed GRAM rewards to appear lower than the actual rewards earned. This was only a display issue and did not affect your real rewards. The rewards display is now more accurate and aligned with the protocol APY.
3οΈβ£ Staking Flow & UI Improvements
As part of our new staking flow, GRAM deposited during an active validation round is represented by an SBT that automatically converts to hGRAM when the round ends. We've also refreshed the design to make the process clearer and better aligned with the new GRAM and hGRAM branding.

Hipos, based on your feedback, weβve added a new feature to help keep APY more stable.
Now, any new GRAM staked in Hipo will wait until the current validation round ends β up to 18 hours β before receiving hGRAM and starting to earn staking rewards. This waiting time is now visible in the Hipo App.
During this cooldown period, stakers will receive an SBT, which will automatically convert to hGRAM later.
This change ensures that new deposits entering Hipo no longer affect the APY of the current round. As a result, APY should remain more stable and predictable, helping protect existing stakers and ensuring rewards are distributed more fairly.
Our goal remains the same: deliver the highest sustainable staking rewards possible while creating a better experience for all Hipo stakers.

Hipos, we just reached 3,988,927 GRAM staked and became the #6 protocol on TON by TVL on DeFiLlama.
We are only a few thousand GRAM away from reaching 4M GRAM staked β a historic milestone for Hipo.
This moment is special because we are reaching it together after years of building, improving, and growing as a community. We are also seeing more large GRAM holders choosing Hipo, showing growing trust in our approach.
One thing we are proud of is that Hipo was not shaped by a few large investors from the beginning. As we shared during the HPO launch, there was no private round for big investors, creating a fair opportunity for retail users and the community to participate and help shape Hipo into a truly decentralized protocol.
A note about the current APY
Because Hipo TVL has doubled recently, the next validation round will have a temporary APY decrease. This is not because rewards are reduced β Hipo continues returning 100% of staking rewards. The change happens because rewards are distributed across a much larger amount of staked GRAM.
Currently, Hipo allows new stakers to participate immediately, meaning users who join during a round can still receive rewards even if their stake was not active for the full validation period.
After the next round, APY will return to normal levels.
We are discussing two possible approaches for the future:
Option 1 β Keep the current system
New stakers can join instantly, receive hGRAM, and participate from the start. This provides the best user experience but may create temporary APY changes when large amounts of GRAM enter.
Option 2 β Add a waiting period
New stakers would join the next validation round instead of immediately participating. This would make APY more stable but delay rewards for new users.
