A Lesson for Every IB Aspirant: The Wheel of Time Keeps Moving There is an old line: “Sab din jaat na ek samaan” — no phase of life remains the same forever. Even Arjuna, after winning the Mahabharata war, once faced a situation where his confidence and weapons could not save him. The lesson was simple: past success does not guarantee future control, and present failure does not define your future. The same applies to public life. Someone criticised, mocked or cornered today may be respected, successful and influential tomorrow. Public opinion, circumstances and relationships can change surprisingly fast. For an IB aspirant, this is an important psychological lesson. If results are delayed, an interview goes badly, people doubt you, or circumstances turn against you, do not panic and do not become bitter. Stay disciplined. Stay humble in success. Stay steady in failure. Time changes. Positions change. Perceptions change. That is why it is called #KaalChakra — the wheel never stops moving.

Air India to screen all pilots for drug abuse after turbulent flight's captain found 'high' https://www.hindustantimes.com/india-news/air-india-to-screen-all-pilots-for-drug-abuse-after-turbulent-flight-captain-high-marijuana-101786612659868.html • A pilot testing positive for marijuana is not just a personal issue. It is a flight-safety and human-reliability concern. • Marijuana may affect reaction time, judgement, attention, coordination and short-term memory. • A positive test alone does not prove impairment during the flight. AAIB investigation must establish timing and actual impact. • International crew may encounter cannabis in countries where access or laws are different. • Stress, irregular sleep, fatigue, recreation or poor risk perception may contribute to consumption. • The bigger lesson: aviation needs stronger drug screening, fatigue management and psychological monitoring. • In safety-sensitive jobs, human vulnerability can become institutional vulnerability.

Key Improvements Needed in the Public Examinations Bill, 2026 1️⃣ Support Affected Candidates Provide clear timelines for re-examination, results, refunds and compensation. 2️⃣ Strengthen Prevention Make cybersecurity audits, secure printing, encryption and access controls compulsory. 3️⃣ Ensure Official Accountability Clearly separate honest mistakes, negligence and deliberate involvement. 4️⃣ Protect Digital Evidence Preserve CCTV footage, server logs, devices and financial records immediately. 5️⃣ Improve Investigation Timelines Allow limited court-approved extensions in complex cases. 6️⃣ Track Responsible Companies Debar connected firms, beneficial owners and renamed companies. 7️⃣ Protect Whistleblowers Give confidentiality and legal protection to those reporting wrongdoing. The Bill is a positive step, but prevention, accountability and candidate relief must support stronger punishment.

📢 India’s Exam System Set for a Major Reset • PM Modi has announced a High-Powered Task Force to reform examinations. • The mission: make exams more transparent, secure and trustworthy. • The task force will be led by Nandan Nilekani, co-founder of Infosys and the architect of Aadhaar. • He also played a key role in India’s UPI-driven digital revolution. • Other members include former ISRO Chairman S. Somanath, former IB Director Tapan Deka, IIT Madras Director V. Kamakoti, former Education Secretary Anita Karwal and logistics expert Amrit Lal Meena. The message is clear: exam reform is no longer just administrative work. It is now a national trust mission.

⚠️ Understanding Protests Beyond Labels What begins as an online campaign can sometimes grow into a wider public movement when people feel their concerns are not being heard. Such gatherings often include students, parents, professionals and citizens with different motivations. It is reasonable to examine the organisers, methods and political associations of any protest. At the same time, the underlying issue should not be ignored merely because one disagrees with certain personalities involved. Supporting a legitimate concern does not require endorsing every individual or action connected with it. A mature democracy needs peaceful expression, lawful conduct, responsible leadership and patient dialogue. Look beyond labels. Examine facts. Remain balanced.

Further 10 Reforms to be added in National Examinations … 1. Make the NTA accountable to Parliament through an independent statutory regulator. 2. Create a permanent student grievance commission with binding powers. 3. Conduct compulsory third-party cybersecurity audits before every major exam. 4. Fix legal deadlines for investigating paper leaks. 5. Publish regular updates on the progress of leak investigations. 6. Hold negligent officials legally accountable for major failures. 7. Order an independent judicial or CAG-supervised audit after every major exam crisis. 8. Introduce a transparent compensation policy for affected candidates. 9. Provide counselling and mental-health support during prolonged exam disruptions. 10. Ensure Parliamentary review and time-bound implementation of reforms after every major failure. What do you think ?

A major leadership change had barely settled when another development began drawing attention. A youth-led political group claimed that authorities may be preparing to disperse its protest during the night or before dawn. Its founder, already on an indefinite hunger strike, appealed to supporters to remain present through a night vigil. The group also maintained that its proposed march towards Parliament on July 20 would continue. Elsewhere, another prominent activist, removed from a protest site after weeks of fasting, reportedly refused fluids and medicines despite signs of dehydration and metabolic stress. These may be separate events. Or perhaps they reflect a larger administrative shift. Is something being prepared under the layers?
