(Andrew jackson hmmmmm was he a good guy??? Nope) with one round of grapeshot Artillary Garrigues shot Packenham - which later caused his death TO END THE WAR OF 1812!!! Drop mic 🎤 and he returned to his plantation in Opelousas where he was celebrated from that day forward in Louisiana and mostly NEW ORLEANS as the hero of the war of 1812!!!!! When the onset of the civil war happened - he then became Louisiana’s forgotten hero!!!! Remember Garrigues had fought the British many times …. And he despises them. He never questioned his Duty!!! He was a born fighter and became a master of artillery under his fathers training and Napoleon.
