Differences between American and Russian documents created problems during the TRP application process, but with legal support their documents were eventually accepted. β I received my TRP (Π ΠΠ). Recently I tried to register an individual entrepreneur on my own. The tax officer refused to accept my documents because I do not have a permanent registration. Does such a requirement really exist?
π Our answer:
Russian legislation does not prohibit registering an SP (ΠΠ) at the address of temporary registration (place of stay).
πΉ According to Federal Law No. 129-FZ "On State Registration of Legal Entities and Individual Entrepreneurs" (Article 8), an SP is registered at the place of residence, and in its absence β at the place of stay.
This means that if a foreign citizen does not have permanent registration, they have the right to apply to open an SP using the address of their temporary registration.

Hello everyone! π
Our latest case is dedicated to the application for a residence permit (VNZh) in Russia for one of the graduates of a Russian university.
Case details:
β‘οΈ Citizenship: #Jordanπ―π΄
β‘οΈ Grounds for residence permit application: Graduation from a Russian university with honors (red diploma)
To obtain a residence permit (VNZh) based on a "red" diploma, a number of conditions must be met:
1. The studies were conducted in full-time mode
2. The educational program is at least at the bachelor's level (i.e., preparatory courses will not suffice)
3. The educational program has state accreditation by the Ministry of Education
β‘οΈ University: MISIS University of Science and Technology in Moscow
β‘οΈ Educational program: Full-time master's degree
β‘οΈ Certificate of no criminal record: It was obtained at the embassy, and then our specialists organized the process of consular legalization of this certificate in lieu of an apostille, as our client's country is not a party to the Hague Convention on apostilles.
β‘οΈ Official employment: Our client has been officially working in Russia for a long time and was employed at the time of the application, as their student visa was still valid.
β‘οΈ Nuances: During the first attempt to submit documents to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the inspector did not see information in the database about the existence of official employment.
This happened because a reorganization took place within the company where our client works.
Therefore, it was necessary to resolve this issue through the local migration department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs at our client's place of registration.
β
Result: Successful submission of documents for a residence permit (VNZh) on the second attempt
Congratulations to our client on the successful submission of documents, and we wish them a happy life in Russia! π·πΊ

βI am an Italian citizen married to a Russian citizen. How can I obtain a spouse or family visa to Russia, and what benefits or residence options are available to me based on my marriage and citizenship?
π Our answer:
If we are talking specifically about a visa, rather than obtaining residence in Russia on the basis of family ties, your Russian spouse can arrange a multiple-entry private family visa valid for 1 year.
πΈ If your Russian spouse is currently with you in Italy, you should apply together to the Russian consulate to arrange the invitation and the visa.
πΈ If your spouse is in Russia and you are in Italy, your spouse needs to prepare a family invitation in Russia, have it notarized, and then send the original document to you in Italy.
The private family visa is valid for 1 year and can later be extended for another year without leaving Russia.
What about obtaining residence in Russia?
There are also residence options available to you.
1. TRP based on marriage
You may obtain a three-year Temporary Residence Permit (TRP / Π ΠΠ) on the basis of marriage if you have been married to a Russian citizen for more than 3 years.
If you are under 65 years old, you will need to pass exams in:
Russian language;
Russian history;
basic Russian legislation.
2. TRP based on Italian citizenship
As an Italian citizen, you may also obtain the same three-year Temporary Residence Permit on this basis.
In this case, you do not need to take the exams in Russian language, Russian history and legislation.

A family left Germany for Barnaul in search of safety and traditional values π©πͺπ·πΊ
Anton Lel, who was born and raised in Germany, moved to Russia with his wife Patricia and other members of his family.
According to Anton, one of the main reasons for the move was the desire to raise their child in an environment closer to their traditional family values.
The couple says they had become increasingly uncomfortable with social and cultural changes in Germany, including the way LGBT-related topics are presented in schools and kindergartens.
Last autumn, Anton and Patricia moved to Barnaul together with Antonβs parents and his brotherβs family.
In June, Anton and Patricia welcomed their son Misha. All members of the family already have Russian passports except Patricia, who is a Polish citizen and is currently applying for a residence permit.
The family is continuing to settle into its new life in the Altai Region. Anton, his father and his brother have already found work at the Altai Precision Products Plant, where they are using their previous experience in mechanical engineering.
The family says they feel calmer in Barnaul than they did in Germany. According to them, one of the reasons is their concern about increasing aggression and social tensions they experienced there.
They have also been surprised by some aspects of everyday life in Russia - from the possibility of freely gathering mushrooms in Altai forests to simpler access to recreational fishing.
For the Lel family, the move to Russia was primarily a decision about the future they want to create for their children.
We wish Anton, Patricia, little Misha and their entire family happiness, stability and success in their new life in Russia β€οΈ

Happy Moscow City Day! πβ€οΈ
This year, Moscow celebrates its 879th birthday!
The main City Day celebrations take place on September 5 and 6, 2026, bringing together residents and visitors across the Russian capital. π·πΊ
Moscowβs official history dates back to 1147, when the city was first mentioned in Russian chronicles. Over almost nine centuries, Moscow has grown from an ancient settlement into the capital of Russia while preserving traces of many different periods of the countryβs history.
Today, Moscow brings together old and new: the Kremlin and historic streets, Soviet architecture, modern districts, parks, museums and one of the worldβs most recognizable cityscapes. ππ³
But above all, Moscow is its people - millions of residents who study, work, create, raise families and make the city what it is today.
On this special weekend, we wish Moscow continued development and prosperity, and we wish everyone who calls this city home comfort, happiness, new opportunities and many wonderful moments here!
Happy birthday, Moscow! π
With warm wishes,
Braiden Consulting team β€οΈ | 2 614 |

Have a wonderful weekend, and see you on Monday! β€οΈ | 2 748 |

βAm I correct in understanding that if a foreign citizen violates the rules of stay in Russia by remaining in the country beyond the permitted period before the required departure and border crossing, they will only have to pay a fine of 4,000 rubles?
Or is there also a risk of administrative expulsion? These are completely different consequences, so I would really appreciate clarification.
π Our answer:
The consequences depend on your current migration status.
πΈ If you have a TRP (Π ΠΠ) or permanent residence permit (ΠΠΠ):
Two violations of migration legislation within one year may lead to the cancellation of your residence document.
As a rule, such violations are connected either with:
1. violations of migration registration rules;
2. late submission of the annual residence notification.
3. In this situation, after the first violation you may initially receive only a fine.
However, if you commit another migration violation within one year from the date of the first violation, there is a risk that your TRP or VNZh will be cancelled, and this risk is quite high.
πΈ If you are staying in Russia on a visa:
In this case, administrative expulsion may be imposed immediately after the first violation related to the permitted period of stay.
At the same time, it is also possible that the authorities will initially impose only a fine.
πΈ Only a fine may be imposed in some cases on foreign citizens who are married to a Russian citizen and have minor children.
Therefore, it is incorrect to assume that an overstay will always result only in a 4,000-ruble fine. The possible consequences depend on your status and individual circumstances.

Hello everyone! π
We are happy to share with you our latest case regarding the application for a Temporary Residence Permit (TRP). In this case, we did not limit ourselves to just legal support. We will tell you more about this below.
Case details:
β‘οΈ Citizenship: #USAπΊπΈ
β‘οΈ Basis for obtaining the TRP: Presidential Decree 702 "Shared Values"
β‘οΈ Place of submission: Sakharovo Migration Center (Moscow)
β‘οΈ Visa type: 3-year tourist visa
We have written multiple times that US citizens planning to come to Russia to apply for a TRP under Decree 702 are safer using this type of visa rather than a special private visa for 702.
β‘οΈ Certificate of no criminal record: was brought in by the client independently
β‘οΈ Services provided to the client in addition to those related to the TRP application:
βοΈ assistance with hotel booking
βοΈ airport pickup
βοΈ opening a bank account
βοΈ obtaining SNILS, INN, and a Russian SIM card
βοΈ obtaining a receipt for an appointment to submit documents at the migration center the day after contacting the migration center's representative office (yes, in some cases this is possible)
We are constantly expanding our service and adding new options that may be useful for foreigners moving to Russia.
β‘οΈ Timeline: our client arrived in Russia on August 15. Ten days later, on August 25, he successfully submitted his TRP documents at the Sakharovo Migration Center.
β
Result: TRP documents were successfully submitted on the first attempt within the shortest possible timeframe.
In addition to the TRP application, the client received our assistance with other matters related to staying in Russia.
At this moment, the client has already returned to his home country for the period of the TRP application review.
We hope to receive feedback from him soon and will share it with you π
π The receipt of document acceptance from the migration center is attached to the post.

βI have a TRP and want to receive free medical care in Russia. Where should I apply for an OMS policy, how can I register with a state clinic, and is OMS required if I find official employment in the region where my TRP is issued?
π Our answer:
To receive free medical care at a state clinic, you first need to obtain a compulsory medical insurance policy (ΠΠΠ‘).
πΈ To apply for an OMS policy, you need to contact an insurance company in your region.
As a rule, you will need:
1. Passport
2. Notarized Russian translation of the passport
3. SNILS, if available
4. Residence permit or Temporary Residence Permit (TRP)
Among the well-known insurance companies working with OMS are ΠΠ°ΠΊΡ / Π Π΅ΡΠΎ / Π ΠΎΡΠ³ΠΎΡΡΡΡΠ°Ρ
/ ΠΠ°Π·ΠΏΡΠΎΠΌ ΡΡΡΠ°Ρ
ΠΎΠ²Π°Π½ΠΈΠ΅
After receiving the OMS policy, you will be able to register with a state clinic of your choice.
π We previously explained the procedure in more detail here: https://t.me/braiden_channel/2340
If you are registered in Moscow, our company can also help you obtain the policy remotely. It is usually ready within 3 - 5 working days.
Is an OMS policy mandatory for employment?
No. An OMS policy is not a mandatory document for employment.
A TRP holder generally needs the following documents for official employment:
1. Passport + notarized Russian translation
2. Registration
3. SNILS
4. INN
If you need help obtaining an OMS policy or have questions about employment documents, please contact us in a private message.
