What documents should I provide regarding my income? Will just a bank certificate be accepted? 📝 Our answer: You need to determine how much income you received from the date of temporary residence permit to February. You can see the specific amount on the 2NDFL certificate issued by the employer. If this income is equal to or higher than 12 minimum subsistence level in your region, you will not need to provide any additional papers. If the amount of your income is less, you will need to show additional income to meet the criteria described above. If you had additional income that is not taxable in Russia, you do not need to declare it. You just need to prove the source of the income. If you had other income (not from labour activity in Russia), you need to declare it through the 3NDFL form. I would like to note that in the grounds for cancellation of a temporary residence permit there is a paragraph that reads as follows: "8) during the next year from the date of issuance of a temporary residence permit has not carried out labour activity in accordance with the procedure established by the legislation of the Russian Federation for one hundred and eighty days or has not received income or does not have sufficient funds in the amount that would allow him to support himself and his dependent family members without resorting to state assistance, at a level not lower than the subsistence minimum established by the law of the subject of the Russian Federation, in the territory of which he is allowed temporary residence.
