I see some people just want/request official builds. In my POV Official is just a tag which restricts us(mantainers), it kinda takes away our freedom. Though I don't have problems maintaining roms officially but I can't build frequently and obviously I also can't do some of the stuff i do in unofficial due to restrictions. Generally, there's barely a difference between official and unofficial builds for most roms.
