| 2 | Rumbling - The baby scene
I can say this is the most effective and masterful scene that this beautiful show produced. Humanity, with no hope for survival, still gives in to its bare instinct to do the right thing and try to save a baby, the most pure being, from falling off the cliff | 686 |
| 3 | Translation:
"Language is a means to an end, not an end in itself."
In other words, we do not learn a language just for the sake of knowing it, but for the practical benefits that come with it. It is a tool, not the final goal.
This brings me to the question many of my dear followers have asked over the past few days regarding why I stopped posting on this channel?
To put it simply: It is because of AI.
With the rise of AI, I no longer see the same value in language learning as I did in the past. This is especially true for a language like Japanese, which demands a massive chunk of a person's lifespan to master. If there is no clear outlook for a guaranteed—or near-guaranteed—benefit from learning it, why should I keep spending my precious time on it?
Of course, everyone has their own motivations, and many of you might disagree with me, but this is how I personally see it.
Don't get me wrong! Learning it was a fun experience, especially at the beginning. I was young, and I didn't care back then if it served a practical purpose—I was just enjoying myself. I also believe it played a part in shaping how people perceive my personality. What is done is done, and I honestly do not know if I will ever return to posting here.
Thank you to everyone who has walked this distance with me. I wish luck to those who wish to continue the journey. I pray that your efforts are never wasted and that your hopes and ambitions are fully realized.
