On April 30, ChinaAMC announced the successful launch of the Bitcoin and Ethereum spot ETFs, with the initial offering size of $950 million for Bitcoin and $160 million for Ethereum. 🟡 The total trading volume of these ETFs on the first day exceeded $12 million, with ChinaAMC Bitcoin ETF leading the way with a trading volume of $22.97 million. However, these figures are considerably lower than the trading volume of the U.S. bitcoin ETF on its first day, which reached $4.6 billion. 🟡 Brian Roberts, Head of Securities Products Development at HKEX, noted the increasing trading volume of virtual asset futures ETFs in Hong Kong, which attracted $529 million in fund inflows. 🟡 CHHWE Foon Yee, Christina, the executive director of SFC's Investment Products Division, mentioned that although the cryptocurrency market has faced uncertainties and losses for investors, there is still a significant demand for investment in the market. The SFC's approval of regulated cryptocurrency spot ETFs for listing is seen as being in the public interest. 🟡 Overall, the launch of spot Bitcoin and Ethereum ETFs in Hong Kong has generated interest from investors and is expected to achieve a market size of several billion dollars. The trading volumes on the first day were lower than those seen in the U.S., but there is optimism about the potential growth of these ETFs in the Hong Kong market. In conclusion, it can be said that the spot ETFs entered the Hong Kong market not at the best time, but during a period of correction, and expectations were quite different in the first days of trading, but this is logical.

However, there has been a strong growth of the futures market, with the volume of over $500 million, indicating good prospects and an increase in volumes in the near future.
