Nice edit (HyperOS 2.0)
Someone told me that in HyperOS 2.0, you'll be able to rearrange the tiles in the Control Center, just like in iOS 18.
- I can’t stop laughing...

This is the Quick Settings from OneUI (Samsung). I like it, but something about it bothers me.
What would you change? Aside from the player, which is the most elegant and beautiful part of this QS. The concept is good, but it feels either incomplete or like something outdated. Am I the only one who thinks that?
Channel status:
For now, I'll keep posting some updates on the Ginkgo/Willow projects.
Feel free to comment, I enjoy reading them.

Hey,
I've noticed that a lot of the compilers have disappeared, leaving just a small number of devs who were keeping the RN8 up to date, like 2 or 3 people. Most of them (and practically everyone) switched phones and got something better.
Because of that, many have abandoned Ginkgo/Willow. But you know how it is—people disappear, but there's always someone who steps up to keep a project going.
The RN8 is really dynamic, and its survival definitely doesn't depend on Xiaomi. In fact, the company has pretty much ditched the device. So it's up to independent devs to keep it up to date.
There's already support up to Android 15.
- How far can it go?
The only real limitation might be kernel compatibility down the road, which could prevent the device from getting the latest OS updates.

Is anyone here still rocking the trusty Redmi Note 8?
For those running custom ROMs, how’s the performance and usability holding up? If you’ve already upgraded, what new device did you switch to and why?
And for anyone still thinking about making the switch, what’s your ideal next smartphone and what’s motivating you to upgrade?
Drop a comment, it's free!

Maki's Update
Hey everyone, how’s it going? I’m doing well.
Unfortunately, I won’t be able to keep updating my projects frequently anymore. I’ve already explained the reason: I’m studying. There’s a slight chance I might release something, but it’s pretty slim, almost non-existent. Like an Android 16 situation.
Right now, I’m really busy with studies, real-life projects, programming, and work. I don’t even have time to play games, just to give you an idea. I can only catch a break on weekends.
Once again, thanks so much to everyone who’s still here, downloading the ROMs, following my projects, and discovering things. I really appreciate it.
Honestly, I’d love to keep going, but I’d have to become a slacker to have that much free time (no offense) haha.
I’ll drop by every now and then, post something, or share something new. It’s not a total goodbye.
Take care,
Maki.
