I just released a new video showcasing a simple plug-in that automatically generates cyclic load histories for both laboratory cyclic tests and ABAQUS simulations. 🔁 The plug-in supports the most commonly used protocols: ATC-24 FEMA 461 Whether you are preparing a physical cyclic test or performing nonlinear numerical simulations, this tool makes the process faster, cleaner, and error-free. I'm happy to share the release of a new tool I developed for fellow structural engineers and FEA enthusiasts: a custom ABAQUS Plugin for implementing the Ramberg-Osgood stress-strain model. Why I built this: Dealing with accurate nonlinear material behavior, especially in metals, shouldn't be a bottleneck. This plugin streamlines the process, allowing you to quickly define material properties using the classic Ramberg-Osgood parameters—avoiding tedious manual tabular input and ensuring a smooth, accurate elastic-plastic transition.
