A master class from Jobs on how to compose job offers In 1989, Steve Jobs was leading the computer company NeXT and trying to save it from bankruptcy. They were selling PCs for $10,000 each and needed to come up with new strategies. In this offer, he proposed to David Nagy, who was then working a product manager at Apple, to come to NeXT for a salary of $80,000. There was no position or job description in the offer! In today's money, this is about $180,000, 2.5 times higher than the average annual salary for product managers in the US. Nagy never accepted the offer and continued working at Apple until 1993, although he later regretted it: "Steve even called my wife and offered her a $5,000 signing bonus. I eventually turned down the offer because I loved my job at Apple and didn't think NeXT would be successful, but looking back, I think I should have taken the opportunity." In 1997, Apple bought NeXT for $492 million, hired Jobs back, and he became CEO. #SteveJobs #Job #Offer ➡️ Subscribe!

🇨🇿 Czech Republic to Simplify the Process of Obtaining Residency Permit The Czech authorities are preparing an amendment to the law on the residence of foreigners in the Czech Republic, which should significantly simplify relocation to this country. When to expect: By mid-2025. What they want to change: 🔹 The process of issuing residency permits will be transferred to a digital format. 🔹 They will create an "institute of guarantor" responsible for foreigners. According to the new law, only lawyers who provide free assistance to foreigners and are registered in the Ministry of Internal Affairs list (so-called guarantors or representatives) will be able to represent the interests of foreigners. 🔹 Obtaining a residency permit will be cheaper and faster. ♥️ if you would like to live in the Czech Republic! #CzechRepublic #Residency #Permit ➡️ Subscribe!

🇺🇸 What is a work visa in the USA? In short, there are at least three types of work visas in the United States: 🔹 O-1 - a visa for individuals with outstanding achievements in various fields (visa for talents) 🔹 L-1 - for employees who are transferred from a foreign company to a US company 🔹 H-1B - when an American company hires people from abroad Every year in March, there is a lottery for H-1B visas and only 85,000 visas are issued, of which 20,000 are for graduates of local universities who have completed their studies, obtained a local PhD, and have one or three years to find an employer. The rest are people from abroad who have a job offer in the United States. This means that they will compete with each other for 65,000 visas. Statistics show that there were 780,000 registrations for 2024, which is 60% higher than in 2023. As we can see, the chances of obtaining a visa decrease every year. What are the other options to work legally in the USA? 🤔 You can remotely open an LLC in the United States (without visiting the country) and work as a subcontractor or freelancer with an American company. Of course, this does not give the right to stay in the country, but it does give the right to pay taxes and work legally for a company in the United States. #USA #Work #Visa ➡️ Subscribe!

🇳🇿 New Zealand enters the fight for specialists New Zealand has recognized a shortage of highly skilled workers and authorities have decided to simplify the migration process. This will allow the country to compete with other nations with a more relaxed immigration policy. What will change: 🔹 Previously, New Zealand had annual quotas for foreign workers, which will now be abolished. 🔹 The complex points-based system used to select specialists will be simplified and made more transparent. 🔹 Processing times for residency applications will be reduced and the process will become easier. 🔹 Highly skilled specialists will find it easier (and faster) to obtain permanent residency. Is it a good news for you? Please share your opinion with emoji: 😍 if you would like to live in New Zealand; 🤔 if you haven't thought about it yet; 👎 if it's not an option. #NewZealand #Migration #Rules ➡️ Subscribe!
