Uniform Civil Code (UCC)
β‘οΈUttarakhand is the first state in India to implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC).

- The implementation of the UCC in Uttarakhand has been met with mixed reactions. Proponents of the UCC argue that it will promote gender equality, national integration, and secularism. Opponents argue that it will infringe on the religious and cultural rights of minorities.
