At the end of the day the smartest man in the universe is still a boomer.

>"Imagine if the roles were reversed." Obviously this spiel has grown tiresome and it's become trendy to indiscriminately mock it. But there are multiple ways it is used and I think it's important to distinguish between them. When Conservatives, especially politicians with power, call out the left for being hypocritical against their own degenerate values, that is clearly counterproductive because it elevates their moral framework. When Conservatives call out the left for being hypocritical with the way they wield power or "don't play fair", that amounts to petulant whining and a plea to an arbiter that doesn't exist. It's pacifying because they think they've scored a moral victory and pacify themselves. Especially when it's used to build camaraderie around the idea that you are superior for sticking to the "rules". When it comes to asking "what if the roles were reversed" when there is racial violence or any mistreatment of a White person and the reaction it garners from the media and our institutions contrasted to when it happens to a black person or any other protected class; yes that can also amount to an illusory moral victory, but it also has it's uses. It's repetitive in our circles, but there are exponentially more people out there still struggling to come to terms with the fact that the system is against them. And sometimes it takes some repetition in order for them to reconcile with that. It's a basic point but's effective and it does no harm so long as it's accompanied by the right context.
