<Different Function Name> - This function allows them to manipulate token balances without seeing it in the blockchain.
Yes, they can rename the function to anything they want. In this case, DEV renamed this scam function as "Add Liquidity" and "airdrop"
Scam begins by making a great volume for their project. The scam team buys large amount of ETH using different addy to create FOMO. Once someone buys their token, they will call the scam function and put the victim's addy then the token balance of the victim will be manipulated.
In this case, both victims purchased more than a hundred thousand tokens but ended up with only a three-digit token balance.
In order to check if it's a scam contract, go to https://tokensniffer.com/ and check the warning.
