The highest levels/maqamaat (in Jannah) are for those who cry at night (to Allah, in night prayers) and smile during the day (at people).
[‘Imam adh-Dhababi (Rahimahullah), Siyar an-Nubalaa’, 10/141]
Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:
“Abandoning desires for the sake of Allāh will rescue the servant from the punishment of Allāh and will guarantee one to obtain His mercy. The precious qualities of Allāh, the treasure of piety, pleasure, longing for Him, joy and the happiness found in being close to Him will never happen to the heart that cares for anyone or anything besides Allāh - even if he was among the people of worship, piety, and knowledge.”
[al-Fawā’id]
Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:
“If Allah سبحانه و تعالى had forgiven the one who had quenched the thirst of a very thirsty dog, so what would be the case for he who quenches the thirst, feeds the hungry, and clothes the unclothed from among the Muslims?.”
['Udat as-Saabireen | 1/216]
✒ Humility Makes One Wiser
Prophet Muḥammad Ṣallallāhu-ʿAlaihi Wa Sallam said:
“There is no man except that in his head is wisdom which is in the hand of an angel, so if he humbles (himself) it is said to the angel: ‘Raise his wisdom’ and if he becomes arrogant it is said to the angel: ‘Throw away his wisdom’.”

To the people who are emotionally sensitive, who care so much about everything no matter how hard they try not to, who notice even the smallest things and take everything to the heart, the struggle is valid. I hope you get surrounded with people who are kind enough to understand you. And even if you can't expect everyone to adjust for you, I hope you get extra patience from this world.
Ṭāwūs b. Kaysān Raḥimahullāh (one of the Salaf) said:
“Indeed, from the Sunnah is to respect four:
• Scholar
• An old man
• Ruler
• And the father.”
● [شرح السنة للبغوي ١٣/٤٣]
Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله:
“How many a reward has come racing toward you…
But then stopped at the door; for the doors responding back were:
"I will"
"Perhaps"
and "Maybe" (do good deeds).

This is the reason our umma is weak. I start with myself.
May Allah subhanou Wa teala keep us steadfast.
