Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله:
“The heart is opened by avoiding excessive looking, talking, listening, mixing with the people, eating, and sleeping.
These excesses cloud and restrict the heart; rather, most of the punishments in this life and the next come from them. How constricted are the hearts of the people who indulge in all of them!?.”

Ibn al-Qayyim رحمه الله said:
”The truth will only be shown to perceptive people who will use the light of their minds to see the consequences of the matters they face."

𝗕𝗲𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗤𝘂𝗼𝘁𝗲 💌
Your deen is upon your Akhlaq. No matter how much Qurān you know, how many Sunnāh & Nafl you fulfill, how much Islamic knowledge you have, if you lack basic Adhab & virtue, especially when it comes to the way you treat people, you lack the basic principles of Islam.
✒ Two Greeds That Harm A Man's Deen
Prophet Muḥammad Ṣallallāhu-ʿAlaihi Wa Sallam said:
ما ذئبان جائعان أرسلا في غنم بأفسد لها من حرص المرء على المال والشرف لدينه
“Two hungry wolves sent among a flock of sheep are NOT MORE destructive to them than a person's GREED for WEALTH and FAME are to his RELIGION.”

Ibn al-Qayyim (رحمه الله) mentioned that there are 6 times in which the du’ā of an individual is accepted:
• The last 3rd of the night
• At the time of the Ādhān
• Between the Ādhān & the Iqāmah
• After the 5 daily prayers
• When the Imām climbs the Mimbar on Friday
• The final hour of Friday
