واقعیتش من نمیدونم انسانها چطوری همزمان چندتا کتاب رو با هم میخونن. یعنی من خودم نهایتا بتونم دوتا چیز رو کنار هم پیش ببرم، که یکیش کتاب صوتی باشه و اونیکی رو خودم بخونم. نه میتونم در یه بازهی زمانی دوتا کتاب صوتی رو موازی با هم پیش ببرم، نه میتونم دوتا کتاب رو همزمان بخونم. اصلا چطوری میشه؟ چطوری قاطی نمیکنید؟ من اگر دستهبندی «این رو شنیدم» و «این رو خوندم» رو توی مغزم نداشتم، همین دوتا رو هم نمیتونستم موازی با هم پیش ببرم.

برای کامل کردن یکی از چالشهای گودریدز انتخابش کردم، چون کلا زیاد توی لیستهای مختلف دیده بودمش، و از نهم تا بیستوسوم جولای به کتاب صوتیش گوش دادم که خود نویسنده راویش بود. راستش کامنتهای منفی زیاد دیدم از کتاب صوتیئه، که میگفتن خود کتاب کنده، نویسنده هم کند خوندنش رو پیش میبره، ولی بهشخصه مشکلی نداشتم و اوکی بودم باهاش، حتی برام جالب هم بود که خود نویسنده داره میخونه، چون انگار دقیقا جاهایی که قصد داشته خواننده مکث کنه، یا تاکید کنه، یا سریع بگذره، حالا خودش انجامش میده.
این اولین داستانی بود که من داشتم از دورهی بردهداری آمریکا گوش میدادم، و جالبی کتاب به اینه که شخصیتهای اصلی از آدمهایی واقعیای الهام گرفته شدن که نویسنده حس کرده اسمهاشون داره توی تاریخ فراموش میشه و توضیح داده هرکدوم رو چرا انتخاب کرده.

بیستودوم جون تا هشت جولای کتاب صوتیشو گوش دادم. خلاصهی کتاب: لزبینها در ناسا. فکر میکنم همین تبلیغ کاملا مناسبی باشه، برای اینکه کسی بدونه ممکنه از این کتاب لذت ببره یا نه. من کتاب معروف دیگهی نویسنده، یعنی هفت شوهر اولین هیوگو رو نخوندم و بنابراین نمیتونم مقایسهای کنم، صرفا میتونم بگم این کتاب اجرای تمیزی داشت، متنش راحتخوان بود و شخصیتپردازیها به دلم نشست، ظرافتهای جالبی هم توی نوشتن داستان به کار رفته بود. یهسری قسمتها هست که در مورد خود ناسا یا کلاسهاییئه که اونجا برگزار میشه، و اون قسمتها بخشهای محبوب من از کتابئن، نرد درونم رو بسیار خوشحال میکنن و اگر نویسنده بیشتر از اون تیکهها توی داستان میآورد، قطعا امتیاز بالاتری به کتاب میدادم.

| 20 | کتاب بیستویکم از #HaveReadList سال 2026:
— KINGS RISING (CAPTIVE PRINCE BOOK 03) BY C. S. PACAT
کلا جلدهای این کتاب خیلی طولانی نبودن، و این جلد آخر رو هم من توی چهارم و پنجم جولای خوندم و تموم کردم. اگر بخوام صادق باشم، انتظار بیشتری داشتم از جلدی که قرار بود مجموعه رو تموم کنه و کمی ناامید شدم. با انتظارات بالایی نرفته بودم سراغ کتاب ها، کلا داشتم میخونم برای زوج گیای که داشت، ولی بازم جلد سوم برام یه چرای بزرگه که خب، گیها هم همچین برام بهترش نکردن. مدتها بود من سراغ این مجموعه نرفته بودم چون با خودم میگفتم من یه مجموعهی جدیدتر از نویسنده شروع کردم و این هرچی باشه در اون حد نیست و بهم خوش نمیگذره، دقیقا هم همین شد. عوضش خیلی بابت پیشرفت نویسنده از این کتاب تا مجموعهی Dark Rise خوشحالم.
