Bitcoin is in a bull run. Alts are in a bear market. I don't think sentiment on alts has been this bad since 2023... Which is the strongest case for alt season. I don't think it happens today. This week. Or even this month. But it is coming. It's always the same story... People give up and say "alt season is never coming" Then everything pumps.

Exactly this. Nobody is buying out bags. Retail isn't here. M2 going up means more liquidity... But you also need people willing to use that liquidity on alts.

We all keep talking about alt season. But.. ALT/BTC keeps setting new lows. TOTAL2 is lower now than May 2021. I am all for being a bulltard. But retail just isn't buying alts. And that is a fact. I am bullish long term... But short term I don't think that retail will suddenly start buying alts tomorrow because M2 is going up. M2 can go as high as it wants but liquidity means nothing without willing buyers. And besides us, who is buying alts? I could very well be wrong. I would like to hear what you guys think

Miles is right. Retail just doesn't care right now. But what does this actually mean? Well, it means that while BTC can keep climbing since it's now driven by tradfi investors thanks to ETFs... Alts can stay dead for a lot longer than we expect. I am still bullish. But we have to be open to the idea that the timeline for an alt bull run has extended. You get so much sh*t on twitter for not being a bulltard. But I am just talking reality here. And ultimately it doesn't change anything. If anything it makes you more resilient. If you expect alts to 100x in the next few weeks and don't, you might give up. If you expect them to 100x in the next year or two, then you are mentally prepared to wait. If you are are wrong and they 100x in the next week. Great. You are holding anyway so you win either way.

I am still bullish. In the end, the only thing that matters to markets is liquidity. When rates come down and QT ends, markets eventually pump. But Elon and Trump falling out can hurt crypto short term. Or maybe by this time next week it's all forgotten. Either way... I am not panic selling. I do what I always do. Hold and wait out of he storm.
