Continuing on Bible translations this morning…here’s some reposts of Sam Adam’s talk on the history of Biblical perversions and WHY it is so important to understand the difference. God be with you.

Speaking of Bible translations, here’s a bit of info on the history of translations from multiple sources, and where we get the texts we have today, accurate to my knowledge. If there are any legitimate errors please feel free to point them out. Just remember, the canon for the Bible was confirmed in Antioch, and Alexandria was the center of Egyptian mystery schools, which included Edomite heretics and gnostics among others. The Roman Catholic Church murdered those they could get their hands on who preached with or possessed complete Bibles and did everything they could to stop the preservation of God’s Word. Back in Matthew 25, Jesus says "Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels....And these shall go away into everlasting punishment." Everlasting fire. Everlasting punishment. But to the righteous, life eternal. This is the biblical teaching on Hell. It's a real place, in the pit of the earth for now, and later cast into the outer darkness, the lake of fire, after the physical world is destroyed, after the millennium has ended and the White Throne Judgment of the unrighteous is done. So do not be fooled. Hell is very real, and God is not slack regarding His promises. He is perfectly righteous and holy. And if He says throughout His word that eternal torment, punishment, burning, is what awaits those not clothed in the righteousness of Jesus then you can believe it is true.

Finally, there is a wicked doctrine that circulates among the unsaved, pushed by vipers that there is no Kingdom of Heaven, that our reward and inheritance is of the earth, and that there is no Hell, that the damned do not face eternal torment and burning for their sin. Many pushing this false doctrine claim Jesus never spoke of either, and that Hell and the grave are the same. Some use corrupt versions of the Bible to claim foolish things such as Sheol being different than Hades, that "Abraham's bosom" is a place rather than a body part, a paradise inside or along side Hell. They use semantics and concordances, pedantic reasoning and ignore the actual text and context regarding both. It has been a snare and a stumbling block for many. Some see the idea of eternal punishment as 'unjust,' and like the unprofitable servant, accuse God of being unjustified in His condemnation. Others will paint believers as the offenders, offering up an "unfair" God, when, in their mind, God is love and so he "wouldn't subject people to eternal torment just for not believing in Jesus." They may even trot out the old "what about the savage in the jungle, hmm? Is that fair??" chestnut. All of this is natural man foolishness as both the promise of Heaven and eternal life, along with Hell and eternal torment are given throughout scripture, and as just Matthew 25 demonstrates. Jesus says the Kingdom of Heaven is like the wedding of the bridegroom, to which the 5 wise virgins are let in to, the door shut to the fools, whom the bridegroom says he never knew. He doesn't say the millennial reign on earth. He doesn't say the New Earth of revelation. He consistently says the Kingdom is of Heaven. It is our promise and reward, both now after our physical death, (to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord) and our inheritance in the resurrection. But what of Hell? Is it simply being shut out of Heaven? Again, in Matthew 25 Jesus tells us details of the unbelievers' fate. Of the unprofitable servant, He says "cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth." This is a formula used throughout Matthew by Jesus to describe Hell. Wailing and gnashing of teeth. Torment and agony. But is 'outer darkness' Hell? Revelation 14 says of the damned; The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name. Tormented with fire and brimstone, the smoke of their torment ascending forever and ever. Sounds like Hell. As an aside, some wishy-washy Christians will claim that Hell is actually just the "separation from Jesus," when here we see the burning torment of the damned is done in His presence. Revelation 20 tells us; the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever...And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire. Further, Revelation 21; But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. And Revelation 22, after telling of those who have overcome are within the Holy City, that without are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and idolaters, and whosoever loveth and maketh a lie.

There honestly is no substitute for homeschooling, especially when you know things about the world as we do. Nobody can or will suit our wants or needs for the education of our children. You’ll find subversion in everything.
