Chant Om Namah Shivaya and light the diya with humility. But remember one thing. Remedy is not a bribe to God. Remedy is correction of karma. If conduct does not change, remedy becomes weak. If conduct changes, even a small diya becomes powerful. In my upcoming Graha Sutra Course, I will teach how graha show pending karma, karma vipaka, wealth patterns, poverty memory, shortcuts, sudden gains, and the hidden karmic story behind every planet. Because every graha is not just giving result. Every graha is ripening old karma.

This is pending karma. Pending karma does not mean punishment only. It also means unfinished correction. The soul is given a chance again and again. When a person changes one action, one habit, one intention, one offering, the whole direction of destiny can start changing. That is why lighting a diya before Shiva in the evening is not just a small ritual. It is a karmic statement. You are saying, “O Shiva, whatever darkness I have created through greed, fear, wrong money, wrong action, let that darkness become light.”

But when the person does Shiva upasana, lights diya, gives donation, respects temple, respects food and earns with clean conduct, then the same graha start giving better vipaka. Now connect this with Aries. Aries is the first sign. It is fire. It is hunger to act. It is ruled by Mars. Kuber is connected with Aries in this teaching because wealth first needs protection, courage and right action. When Aries is uncontrolled, it becomes greed, force, anger and grabbing nature. When Aries is purified, it becomes courage, protection and dharmic action. Gunnidhi’s Aries fire first made him enter the temple for theft. But the same fire later became the diya of Shiva. This is the transformation of Mars. The same graha which can create papa karma can also create punya when direction changes.

This is the secret. Wealth is not only seen from dhan yoga. Wealth is protected only when dhan yoga is connected with dharma. Otherwise money comes and goes. Sometimes money itself becomes the reason for fall. Kuber is not the owner of wealth. He is the keeper of wealth. This is a very important Jyotish lesson. If 2nd and 11th house are strong but Jupiter is weak, person may earn money but may not use it properly. If Rahu is connected with wealth houses without dharma, money may come through wrong shortcuts. If Saturn is afflicting wealth, person carries fear of poverty. If Ketu touches wealth, money comes with past-life pending karma and sudden breaks.

Now see Gunnidhi’s story through graha. - His poverty and survival struggle show Saturn. - His theft and shortcut show Rahu. - His entering the temple shows Ketu connection with past-life karma. - His action of lighting fire shows Mars. - The diya offered to Shiva shows Sun and Agni tattva. - The blessing of Shiva shows Jupiter. - The final status of Kuber shows dhan yoga purified by dharma.

This is why in Vedic Jyotish we say, chart is not only about events. Chart is the map of karma vipaka. - The 2nd house shows stored wealth, food, family and speech. - The 11th house shows gains and fulfilment of desire. - Jupiter shows grace, dharma and blessings. - Venus shows comfort, wealth and enjoyment. - Saturn shows poverty, suffering and past unpaid karma. - Mars shows action, hunger, survival and force. - Rahu shows greed, shortcut and breaking of maryada. - Ketu shows past-life karma and sudden detachment.

Karma vipaka means the ripening of karma. Every action is a seed. Some seeds give fruit quickly. Some seeds remain hidden for many births. When the right time comes, the seed opens and gives result. Gunnidhi’s theft was papa karma. But lighting the diya in Shiva temple became punya karma. The vipaka of theft gave poverty, hunger and restless mind. The vipaka of diya gave divine wealth in next birth.

His intention was still not pure. But his action brought light in Shiva’s temple. This is where karma becomes very subtle. In Jyotish, we should never judge karma only from outer action. We must see the graha behind the action, the bhava behind the action, and the devata receiving the action. Gunnidhi came to steal, but he gave light to Shiva. This small punya became stronger than his dark intention. Lord Shiva, who is Ashutosh, became pleased. Shiva saw that this soul, even in darkness, had created light. So in next birth, Gunnidhi received the status of Kuber, the keeper of wealth. This is called karma vipaka.

Kuber Was A Thief In Previous Birth: The Jyotish Lesson Of Pending Karma And Vipaka In our Purana, Kuber is known as the Lord of Wealth and king of Yakshas. But his past birth was not so pure. He was born as Gunnidhi, a poor man who slowly went into theft. He was not only stealing from people. He even entered temples to steal. This itself shows one deep rule of karma. When poverty comes with wrong sanskara, the person may choose wrong path. Poverty alone is not bad karma. But when poverty creates greed, theft, anger and disrespect towards dharma, then the pending karma becomes heavy. One night Gunnidhi entered a Shiva temple to steal. There was wealth inside the temple, but the diya had gone off due to strong wind. Darkness was everywhere. He wanted light so that he could see and steal. So he tried to light the diya again and again. But every time, wind put it off. Finally, he removed his own cloth and used it to keep the flame alive.
