Aftermath of the explosion at Bodija this evening. Buildings were badly affected. Vehicle windscreen were shattered and some people badly injured

This happened few hours ago along Moniya - Iseyin road. The driver of the commercial bus was on full speed despite being aware that his rear tyre is bad. The tyre burst suddenly and the vehicle somersaulted thereby resulting in multiple injuries. The injured people were eventually taken to the hospital.

This car was previously stopped by the policemen and thoroughly searched. They found nothing, they checked the car papers which were all complete. The driver was about to leave when they asked for money which the driver refused. They weren't pleased and trailed the car till it got to a junction at Agodi. The policemen alighted and started hitting the vehicle with their batons. One of the policemen used the edge of his gun to break the windshield of the car and they tried to run away. Current update is that the officers have been arrested
