You’re Not Tired. You’re Dysregulated

Masters do not let thoughts affect their feelings. Masters have control over their mind, thoughts, feelings and actions. They do this by "thinking with their heart."

Success creates confidence. Confidence creates the right activity. The right activity creates success habits. Success habits create success, which in turn goes back to the beginning of the cycle and is always moving.

I used to wake up and dive straight into a digital swamp of abs, vacation pics, and overpriced lattes. Now? I sit. In silence. Breathing like a horror movie uncle while chugging what looks like blended pond water... ...because apparently, that’s growth. Somewhere between sobbing near the sink and inhaling half a lasagna, I cobbled together a morning routine that strangely works. It grounds the chaos. Calms the static. Makes me feel like a monk—if monks wore weighted vests and exorcised their childhoods through push-ups. Here’s how it goes down: – 4:45am: Wake up. Instantly regret every life choice. Briefly consider faking a fever. – 5:00am: Vipassana meditation. Forty-five minutes of silent suffering while I slowly doze like a stoic raccoon. – 6:00am: Breathwork. I wheeze like a vacuum choking on legos. My neighbors probably think I’m summoning something. – 6:30am: Celery juice. It tastes like lawn trimmings and humiliation. But hey—detox? – 7:00am: Weighted vest workout. It hurts. It humbles. It’s like reliving gym class with 10kg of trauma on my back. Am I healed? Nope. But I don’t scream in traffic anymore. I make eye contact at the store again. That counts. I didn’t do this because I was enlightened. I did this because I was unraveling like a cheap sweater in a thunderstorm. Turns out, healing lives somewhere between gagging on celery and panting like a bulldog at sunrise. It’s weird. It’s uncomfortable. Sometimes I sob mid-squat. But it anchors me. A little. Now you. What’s the weirdest or best part of your morning routine? No judgment... ...unless you microwave your coffee. Then we fight. 👇

I don’t wake up early to be productive. I do it to protect my peace.

Imagine being so anchored in inner peace that nothing anyone says or does can move you off-centre. That’s alignment.
Imagine being so anchored in inner peace that nothing anyone says or does can move you off-centre. That’s alignment.

Imagine never needing to be validated. Or respected. Or understood. And still walking in peace. That’s freedom.

What burnout really is — and how to reset in 90 seconds.

Burnout isn’t always about work. Sometimes it’s heartbreak in disguise. Burnout isn’t about KPIs or how many Slack messages you crush. It’s grief. Pressure. Feeling like you’re collapsing inside while faking calm. Here’s what recruiters and founders use to actually heal: Ignore your nervous system... ...and eventually it yanks the plug for you. Here’s how the polyvagal ladder works: • Dorsal: shut down. Numb. Checked out. • Sympathetic: wired. Tight. Coffee in one hand, panic in the other. • Ventral: calm. Rooted. Able to connect like a real human. You’re not lazy. You’re dysregulated. What I see in high performers every day: – Crippling anxiety – Brain fog – Bone-deep fatigue – That eerie islanded feeling What actually helps? • Breathwork. • Somatic tracking. • Touching grass — yep, really. Get grounded. You don’t need another checklist. You need a nervous system that stops howling. One recruiter I coach? Daily panic attacks. Couldn’t eat breakfast. Six weeks later? She’s steady. Not flawless. But back in her body. Burnout doesn’t burn out by pushing harder. It clears when you come back into your body. DM me ‘REVIVE’ if you want 1:1 support. Let’s get you home.

Pressure doesn’t pause... even when you’re healing. But you still choose how to face it.

Leading While Grieving (A Truth I Don’t Share Often) In 2017, I lost my son. Then my dad. In the same year, I was under criminal investigation. Facing trial. Wearing a suit. Building teams for Meta and Series A founders. Delivering results—while grieving. No one knew what I was carrying. But I still showed up. Because I had to. Sound familiar? Let me say this clearly: Grief doesn’t care about your deadlines. Your nervous system doesn’t care about your goals. And pretending you’re fine is a recipe for emotional collapse. I didn’t survive that season because I was strong. I survived because I built a system. Here’s what helped: 🧠 Regulated my nervous system daily – breathwork, movement, meditation. 🧩 Broke big tasks into micro-wins – hour by hour, not month by month. 💡 Faced the pain instead of bypassing it – no fake positivity. Just truth. ⚙️ Built my own framework – what’s now my R.E.V.I.V.E. coaching system. This isn’t just about grief. It’s about leading while bleeding and learning how not to self-destruct. If you're in that space right now: You're not broken. You're rebuilding. And if you're leading others through pressure, but secretly falling apart… DM me "REVIVE" and I’ll tell you what helped me climb back up. We lead stronger—together. ✊ – James
