You can’t change what you’re unaware of.
Start noticing your self-talk. It’s writing your future.
You don’t experience life.
You experience your interpretation of it.
Shyness.
I was talking to somebody the other day they said, "Well, I'm just shy".
What do you think shyness is?
"well, I'm just shy, you know, just shy".
You at some point raised your hand or you said something and somebody shut you down and you associated so much pain that you didn't want to do it again. And now you call yourself the label of Shy, shy simply, please don't let you discover me. That's shy.
It's about getting back in the game and understanding that you were born perfect. You were born magnificent. You were born with everything you needed to be.
Identifying that subconscious programming is vital for true transformation.
If you looked in the mirror and removed every judgement… what would be left?
Just you, brilliant, bizarre, and beautifully unfinished.
That’s the masterpiece.
🔓 𝗨𝗻𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲: 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝟱𝟬 𝗛𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗡𝗮𝘃𝘆 𝗦𝗘𝗔𝗟 𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗧𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗠𝗲 𝗔𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀
The Navy SEALs are the gold standard of resilience.
And here’s their most powerful insight:
💡 𝘞𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘬 𝘺𝘰𝘶’𝘷𝘦 𝘩𝘪𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘭𝘪𝘮𝘪𝘵, 𝘺𝘰𝘶’𝘳𝘦 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘰𝘯𝘭𝘺 𝘢𝘵 40%.
The rest? Mental.
Quitting isn’t about capacity. It’s about 𝗯𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗳.
So how do elite performers push past the breaking point?
💥 Enter the 𝗕𝗶𝗴 𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗼𝗳 𝗠𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 — used by Navy SEALs to survive Hell Week, navigate chaos, and perform under pressure:
1️⃣ 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 When stress spikes, your nervous system spirals. Box breathing (inhale-hold-exhale-hold) resets your system in real-time. SEALs use it. Leaders use it. It works.
2️⃣ 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗦𝗲𝗹𝗳-𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗸 Inner critic? Mute it. SEALs 𝘥𝘰𝘯’𝘵 𝘩𝘰𝘱𝘦 for strength, they speak it into existence. Mantras aren’t fluff. They’re 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗿𝗺𝗼𝗿.
3️⃣ 𝗩𝗶𝘀𝘂𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘇𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗶𝗻 If you can’t see it, you can’t become it. SEALs visualize success 𝘣𝘦𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘦 it’s real. Your brain doesn’t know the difference. Train it.
4️⃣ 𝗖𝗵𝘂𝗻𝗸 𝗜𝘁 𝗗𝗼𝘄𝗻 Never focus on the whole mountain. SEALs survive Hell Week by setting micro-goals: One step. One rep. One breath. Momentum is built 𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗵 𝗮𝘁 𝗮 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲.
👉 Whether you're building a company, running a marathon, or just having a rough week…
𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗶𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗺𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗿. Discipline is your edge. Grit is the bridge between pain and breakthrough.
𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗾𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝘀𝗻'𝘁 "𝗖𝗮𝗻 𝘆𝗼𝘂?" 𝗜𝘁'𝘀 "𝗪𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝘆𝗼𝘂?"
Your team, your vision, has more in the tank. Tap into it.
𝟴 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗮𝗴𝗼, I was sitting in a police cell.
I had just lost my father.
I had just lost my son.
I had been accused of a crime I didn’t commit.
I felt torn apart.
Helpless.
Angry.
Numb.
𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝗻𝗼:
❌ Therapy didn’t “fix” it overnight
❌ Motivation videos weren’t enough
❌ I didn’t feel like “starting over”
But one night, I stumbled across a TED talk by Tony Robbins:
“𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗪𝗲 𝗗𝗼 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗪𝗲 𝗗𝗼.”
In that talk, I discovered the 𝗦𝗶𝘅 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗡𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀.
It changed everything.
Since then:
✅ I rebuilt my identity
✅ I helped others build theirs
✅ I stopped running from the past and started building a future
𝗦𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗰𝗵𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗿, 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴.
And 8 years later, I’ve never been clearer on my purpose:
𝗛𝗲𝗹𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘄𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆.
Laughing is the best medicine for anything that troubles you.
No matter if you are physically sick, or down in the dumps emotionally, or in financial ruin, nothing is better to “fix things up” than laughing.
Laughing has amazing benefits to both the body and the mind. This has been scientifically proven to be fact. Laughing releases tension and stress. It calms the central nervous system. It slows and calms the mind. It releases endorphins into your body, which both help heal the body, while at the same time make you feel great.
As the late great Ed Foreman says “Life is for laughing, loving, and living”.
Live the good life.
It is your choice.
The secret to laughing that creates miracles in your life is to make it a habit of laughing even when there does not seem to be a reason to laugh.
THAT is the key.
Laugh EVERY day.
𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗜 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗽𝘂𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵 𝗯𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗼𝘂𝘁.
No pills.
Just a nervous system demanding a reset.
Picture this…
I’m scrambling to hire engineers for three London startups, simultaneously.
Valuations? Somewhere between £10 million and “please don’t implode this.”
Founders pace.
They Slack me like caffeinated squirrels.
And I’m running on fumes.
Meanwhile...
I’m logging courtroom hours.
Grieving.
Not sleeping.
Then the panic attacks hit, 3pm. Daily.
• My chest clenches.
• Vision warps.
• Heart tries to detonate from my ribcage.
• Brain slams the gas…
• Body yanks the brake. Brutal.
Doctors offer pills.
But I don’t want numb.
I want real me minus the chest-rattling chaos.
What saved me?
𝗦𝗶𝘅 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘀 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴.
– Inhale through your nose for six.
– Exhale through your mouth for six.
– Smile. Even a fake “I’m good” grin tricks your brain.
Do it for two minutes. Ten rounds.
𝗛𝗲𝗿𝗲’𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗳𝘁𝘀:
🔹 Your body stands down.
🔹 Cortisol crashes like a bad soufflé.
🔹 Brainwaves drop from DEFCON 1 to “maybe I’ll make tea.”
Your brain’s redlining.
This breathing pulls back the throttle.
The engine purrs instead of screams.
And then…
Clarity.
You stop counting.
Stop pretending.
You actually lead.
I use it before interviews.
After tough founder calls.
Outside courtrooms when my gut flips like a gymnast.
No pill gives what two minutes of breathwork delivers:
A sliver of peace.
A flicker of control.
Actual oxygen.
If you lead through chaos, try it.
Two minutes. No guru. No zen cave.
No one even notices.
And if you’ve cracked your reboot code...
Drop it below.
Burnout punishes leaders.
We need sharper tools than “just suck it up.”
Back in 2018, I could barely drag myself out of bed.
It felt like a truck parked on my chest.
I’d just buried my dad...
...and lost my son.
Oh, and I was being hunted for a crime I didn’t commit.
Because apparently, grief doesn’t take up enough oxygen on its own.
But I still showed up.
For clients.
For candidates.
For the damn business.
Recruiting doesn’t play nice on the best day...
...and if you add loss and legal hell?
It steamrolls you.
But the worst part isn’t the chaos.
I tango with chaos.
I feed on it, like a cockroach surfing a firestorm.
What wrecked me... was the numbness.
No joy.
No tears.
No spark.
Just... static.
It wasn’t burnout.
It felt like I ghosted my own body.
I remember thinking, “I don’t even care that I don’t care.”
Then one morning half-dressed, slouched on the edge of the bed like a sad little meatloaf, I croaked:
“You don’t have to win today. Just move.”
It stuck.
One email.
One call.
One run.
Not to outrun the pain...
...just to stay awake through it.
Let life drip back in...
...while everything else felt scorched.
Here’s the flash of truth I still orbit:
High performers don’t crash because they’re weak.
They crash because no one teaches them how to hit the brakes.
There’s no class called “How to Lead With a 200-Pound Anvil on Your Chest.”
No manual for “How to Inspire While Crying in a Starbucks Parking Lot.”
So if you’re a recruiter... a founder... or just someone with a LinkedIn login and a pulse...
...and the walls are closing in?
Whether it’s grief, burnout, or just a heavy, echoing “meh”...
You don’t bounce back.
You lean in.
Your nervous system isn’t betraying you.
It’s whispering a warning.
“This funk? It’s feedback.”
There’s probably something buried that needs to be witnessed...
...not patched.
So maybe ask yourself:
What if, for one damn day...
...you stopped sprinting...
...and just listened?
If you’ve felt this...
...if you’re crawling through your version of it...
Say something.
Let’s quit cosplaying superheroes.
Let’s lead like the raw, cracked, gloriously human people we are.

Do you know what it means to love, to feel your heart filled with such joy and gratitude that you cannot contain it, and it has to bubble over and out to all those souls around you? It’s a glorious feeling of being at peace.
I don’t forgive anyone.
Not because I’m hard...
...but because there’s nothing to forgive.
Nobody’s ever done anything to me.
They’ve only played roles I energetically cast.
So I thank them, not resent them.
Start with this:
• Make contact with your inner self daily.
• No distractions.
• No agenda.
• Just presence.
That’s where the real you lives.
